Except that the Right’s McCarthyism lasted only a few years and decades on was shown to be in large part accurate.

The Left’s McCarthyism is many decades old, is still going strong, and is almost entirely wrong.

The Left’s McCarthyism is also more broadly targeted. It includes obvious idiocies like the “War on Women”.

Any serious attempt by the GOP to win black votes won’t involve Republicans copycatting liberal policies. It will require going over the heads of the black and white liberal slanderers to offer a sincere alternative to failed liberal policies on schools, poverty, crime, etc. The more effective that effort, the more the GOP will be called racist.

Why bother? Until people feel the full effects of liberalism there’s no chance to change brainwashed minds.
