The GOP is losing the debate over Susan Rice
This is a fight we picked. Sens. John McCain, Lindsey Graham, and Kelly Ayotte held a news conference making very clear they would filibusters any nomination of Susan Rice … and now we’ve abandoned the field to the other side.
At the risk of being obvious, here’s a handy guide of what we need to start doing on the Rice debate and pretty much everything else:
1. The GOP needs to get organized so they’re ready for the media’s talking points. What happened this morning on Soledad O’Brien can’t keep happening.
2. Once organized, the GOP needs to flood the media with happy warrior Republicans who are prepared to push back and get our message out there.
3. Oh, and when it comes to anything the media deems racialist or genderific, can we find someone other than old white guys to lay out our case? Why isn’t Condi Rice making the case against Susan Rice? Where’s Susana Martinez? The GOP is flush with women and minorities. Let’s get them prepped for battle and get them out there. We can kill these racist/sexist memes simply by showing up. Optics do matter.

Sez who? I’m sorry but there is no debate that she is a moron.
reddevil on November 22, 2012 at 4:01 PM
Because she probably voted for Obama again?
Wethal on November 22, 2012 at 4:02 PM
If she gets in, it will be a win for cronyism.

I’d be more concerned about losing this debate if we hadn’t just established that over half the country may be too stupid to come in out of the rain.

What happened with Soledad O’Brien? Please don’t tell me some GOP bozo had their butt handed to them by HER.

When questioned on live TV, one can not explicitly go with the conspiracy theory of Obama gave the order to have ambassador killed and Rice covered it.
The election just showed that public are not that easy to fool.
lester on November 22, 2012 at 4:39 PM
There is no debate about Susan Rice.
There is an organized disinformation campaign by the WH and dems/media.
mockmook on November 22, 2012 at 4:55 PM
And moe-lester is an expert on fools.

We shouldn’t be having a debate over Susan Rice. Susan Rice is a squirrel that Obama tossed out there. The debate should be: “Four dead Americans on American soil who could have been saved. Why weren’t they?”. Period.
crosspatch on November 22, 2012 at 5:12 PM
And, exactly how is this a debate?
Dem: GOP is racist for going after Rice!!!!
GOP: We are not racists.
That’s a pair of meaningless (look squirrel) assertions.
mockmook on November 22, 2012 at 5:14 PM
How many Americans died in our last two wars? You don’t know, do you?
Capitalist Hog on November 22, 2012 at 5:25 PM
This is what passes for insightful commentary over at the new Breitbart?
No you don’t kill the raicist/sexist meme by playing into it. As illustrated by the treatment of Cain, West, Rice and ever other minority that’s represented the Right, they just amp up the racist/sexist meme by labeling them as minstrel puppets of the “Old White Men”.
YOU DON’T DEFEAT THE LEFT BY ACCEPTING THEIR FRAUDULENT PREMISE!
Dummy.
The people the GOP should be sending out there are those who best make a particular case, regardless of race, age or gender.
And what’s so bad about Old White Men. Reagan was one. Lincoln was one. Eisenhower was one. In case no one’s noticed, our last four Secs of State have been either black or female- how’s that Foreign Policy workin’ out for ya.
I say give it back to the old white men.

Burgess doesn’t know how to make a point.
Petraeus told the administration it was a terrorist attack. The State Department’s people on the ground knew there was no demonstration. They watched it live and they knew it was an organized attack. Obama sent Rice out to tell a story which was untrue. There was no demonstration in Libya over a video. We have no way of being certain as to what Rice knew but we are certain that the claim there was a demonstration was a lie.
Obama sent Rice out to lie. Does it make him racist because he did that to a black woman? No, it makes him a liar.
And yes, it’s time to take off the 64 ounce gloves off when attacking Obama.

The attacks on her seem disingenuous based on Congressional rulings against funding for consulate and embassy defense. Also the hypocrisy of McCain makes him a poor choice for messenger.
Condi Rice made huge errors in her public statements leading to the Wars. She screwed up because GWB wanted a war.
We will never win with her or McCain pushing these points.
Capitalist Hog on November 22, 2012 at 5:36 PM
Gee, that was a completely orthogonal statement. Was there a point in there someplace?
We had a US Ambassador killed on US soil. We apparently had air assets that could have assisted in defending them but were not used. That is the question. Rice is a big giant squirrel. What she said AFTER the event is beside the point and a completely separate issue and has nothing to do with why these people died.

No, I like our old white guys, John, even if you don’t and would rather play by the media’s rules on what is and isn’t acceptable in political debate and who can and cannot be participants in said debate.
To recap: This discussion is about 4 DEAD AMERICANS and why THIS WHITE HOUSE LIED and COVERED IT UP.
Punchenko on November 22, 2012 at 5:41 PM
3. Oh, and when it comes to anything the media deems racialist or genderific, can we find someone other than old white guys to lay out our case?
Screw you. That sort of thinking is for cowardly retards. Cases are made on facts – such as the fact that Rice is an America-hating, lying incompetent who shouldn’t have any serious responsibilities, at all. She’s an inept idiot who has not even a passing familiarity with the truth. If you think that having “old white guys” say that bit of clear fact is a problem then YOU are a problem.
I can’t stand people who allow themselves to be racially bullied by the dregs of society. Pathetic.

Because she probably voted for Obama again?
Wethal on November 22, 2012 at 4:02 PM
Yeah … likely. Condi’s a back-stabbing idiot who never should have been heard from again after what she pulled in the 2008 election, basically endorsing Barky, the ineligibel Indonesian Imbecile, from inside the friggin Bush administration. It was beyond ridiculous.
ThePrimordialOrderedPair on November 22, 2012 at 5:51 PM
Yup, democracy is a heck of a thing. Right choice or wrong choice, it’s a choice.

I don’t plan on visiting Breitbart anymore now that John has outed himself as someone who is ashamed of “old white guys” calling Susan the Idiot an idiot on national television.
If I wanted “guilty white liberal” I would frequent the lily white pages of the NYT or The Nation.
Oh, and no one does “guilty white liberal” like Katrina Vanden Huevel. Katrina strikes me as one who degrades the “Undocumented American” help in private for not cleaning around her toilet bowl hard enough.

Barack Obama is a liar
Obama claimed in the the second debate that he called the attack a terrorist attack when he spoke in the Rose Garden the next day.
Barack Obama then told 60 Minutes that same day that he didn’t know if it was a terrorist attack.
Barack Obama then sent Susan Rice out to lie about the attacks on the Sunday after the attacks.
On September 24, 6 days after Matt Olsen, director of the National Counterterrorism Center, had told a Senate subcommittee that the four State Department officials in Benghazi “were killed in the course of a terrorist attack on our embassy” and 5 days after W.H. Spokesman Carney had called it a “terrorist attack” Barack Obama told Joy Behar that whether it was an terrorist attack was still under investigation.
Obama then lied his face off before the world at the United Nations.
Basilsbest on November 22, 2012 at 6:16 PM
Hey, maybe we should just let the left and the media speak for us too while we’re at it. With dumbazzes like you talking like liberals anyway, we may as well let them handle it for us.
xblade on November 22, 2012 at 6:16 PM
If called racist, just say prove it. Don’t be a candyass. Stand up for yourself to bullies.

Barack Obama sent a black women out to lie for him. Is he a racist or just anti-female?
Basilsbest on November 22, 2012 at 6:43 PM
I saw that earlier and thought bho did the bow and was too stupid to know it? Can you imagine how the world see’s bho(aka I won) as OUR president? They laugh at him as much as we do as to his beyond belief stupidity! Wonder if any head of states got a video/audio of his speeches?

She was sent out there precisely because she has these “qualities”.
“Let them attack Rice for our lies, and we’ll fire back with “racist!”. That’s exactly why the Wright House sent her out there.
And the Congressional Black Coocoos and all the rest in the media pushing this “racist” line in attacking the GOP have all been organized to do so by the Wright House.
The line never gets traced back to the Wright House in these little stunts. The CBC did not of itself decide to hold that press conference, that was all set up by Axelrod and Jarret and the others. Just like the Occupoo movement was planned out organized by Obama’s controllers. Just like the media advances the Jarret/Axelrod theme as organized through Journolist.
The line to Wright House and back to Chicago in all these events is clear to see, but the Right never sketches them out for the public and the Wright House continues to get away with this.
