Susan Rice: My Benghazi comments were based on preliminary intelligence
“When discussing the attacks against our facilities in Benghazi I relied solely and squarely on the information provided to me by the intelligence community,” Rice told reporters at the United Nations.
“I made clear that the information provided to me was preliminary and that our investigations would give us the definitive answers,” said Rice, who is seen as a possible nominee to replace U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

Scapegoating the CIA.
The buck stops…somewhere…

You lying sack of…potatoes. Nothing in what you were given ruled out the attack was premeditated yet you specifically ruled that out….over and over.

She went out saying a video caused the attacks on the one day terrorists would be expected to attack.
She is incompetant, like many in this administration.

You relied on preliminary intelligence that was politically doctored up by DNI. It’s not clear whether you knew that it was doctored or not, but you had no qualifications at all to be speaking on the subject.
You did know, however, that you were a substitute for those that were and you knowingly fulfilled your role as Obama’s Squirrel of the Day in front of the cameras in order continue the coverup.

So basically she’s a high paid doofus.
Mimzey on November 21, 2012 at 9:38 PM
No. She did what she was told to do with the promise of being nominated for SoS.
It’s the Chicago way. Do what you’re told to do, and get a reward.
Since she bought that lie and gladly lied to the country, I think she’s even more craven and stupid than McCain, et. al. have indicated.
Cody1991 on November 21, 2012 at 9:39 PM
She lied then and she’s lying now. Obama and his incompetent team will continue to lie until the GOP and the right wing media and blogosphere work up the courage to use the L word to describe their statements.

“Squarely” is squirrely. You don’t rely squarely on doctored talking points.

I’m not sensing the same urgency to bring the terrorists to justice as I saw in bringing youtube video guy to justice.

“But our current best assessment, based on the information that we have at present, is that, in fact, what this began as, it was a spontaneous — not a premeditated — response to what had transpired in Cairo. In Cairo, as you know, a few hours earlier, there was a violent protest that was undertaken in reaction to this very offensive video that was disseminated.”

I hear the Obamaphone woman regrets her vote in light of the recent Benghazi developments.

The future might not belong to those who mock Islamic religious figures, but it looks pretty rosy for those who rape and kill American diplomats in Benghazi. Isn’t there any concern that they might kill more Americans or friends if they aren’t brought to justice quickly and don’t they scatter and become harder to round up as time goes by? The NYT was interviewing the leader sipping a strawberry frappe right out in the open a few days after the attack.
Buddahpundit on November 21, 2012 at 10:06 PM
She got preliminary intelligence and never got any follow up information? I think she should have gotten herself an Obamaphone so the Obama admin could call her and give her updates.

Maybe she just stopped paying attention after 0bama went to Vegas..? I think things were still hazy at that point – officially, anyway…

Word Games, a la Slick Willie. They interchange CIA and Intelligence Community. The CIA said what DP said they did, but there are many more in the “Intelligence Community” (Clapper)

This is how empty suits speak. Or in this case, an empty pants-suit.
They take what should be a simple direct sentence and throw in a bunch of superfluous words to make it sound deeper and more thoughtful than it is. It’s standard for Leftist academics and Affirmative Action hires.
