Ann Althouse
“Has Hillary Clinton ever registered an actual accomplishment?”
She’s been given some positions of responsibility, and now she’s stepping down (perhaps to return). But tell me: What are her achievements, if any?

In a word, no.

Hold on there, bud. That seems to me a lil bit sexist, don’t you think?
Kamccand on November 21, 2012 at 7:20 PM
She avoided sniper fire, survived The Blue Dress Chronicles, and discovered the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy.
If that doesn’t spell Democrat, I don’t know what does.
BobMbx on November 21, 2012 at 7:20 PM
She doesn’t need to, Democrats are not into accomplishment, more into entitlement.
clippermiami on November 21, 2012 at 7:20 PM
Her major accomplishment is that she married Bill Clinton.
Mark1971 on November 21, 2012 at 7:22 PM
She said it takes a village and she married a village idiot.
radjah shelduck on November 21, 2012 at 7:22 PM
Smartest woman ever, except when it comes to knowing what is going on re anything involving her.
arnold ziffel on November 21, 2012 at 7:28 PM
She stood by her man – even when things got sticky.
Pork-Chop on November 21, 2012 at 7:28 PM
She made being a fat woman with greasy hair and ill-fitting clothes trendy, I suppose, with Blue State consumers?
Punchenko on November 21, 2012 at 7:29 PM
Yes, she’s advanced herself without really accomplishing anything useful or productive.
Don’t knock it. It worked for Obama.
forest on November 21, 2012 at 7:31 PM
She makes a good doormat for Bill.
Capp on November 21, 2012 at 7:31 PM
In Hillary Clinton’s own words: “I can’t recall. Not to my recollection.”
Anybody remember any others from Hillary’s famous testimonies?
onlineanalyst on November 21, 2012 at 7:34 PM
Actually, I was thinking that the accomplishment, if you can call it that, was staying married to Bill.
beatcanvas on November 21, 2012 at 7:35 PM
Hey, she turned $1000 in cattle futures into $100,000 in one year. The best professional traders don’t see that kind of return.
rbj on November 21, 2012 at 7:36 PM
Yeah, you’re probably right about that.
Mark1971 on November 21, 2012 at 7:38 PM
Since when do actual accomplishments matter in the world of identity politics anyway?
She’s a farce. But then again she couldn’t beat an even emptier suit in her primary in 2008
BUt she will be invincible with a fawning media in 2016 unless we bloody her for the next 4 years, like they will do for our side
I will beat this drum for the next 4 years– we must attack Hillary now, hammer her pathetic SoS record, hammer her pervert husband, and keep it up for 4 years.
OTherwise, our primary is moot anyway
thurman on November 21, 2012 at 7:38 PM
Professionally? No. From her times as a clerk on committees straight through till now she has never did anything that would stand out. She is a mediocre intellect. Her only real accomplishment was convincing the biggest scumbag that ever walked the earth to marry her, despite her even more mediocre looks, and then managing to not look like an idiot for staying with said scumbag when he managed to live down to his aspirations.
She’s the Priscilla Presley of politics but she couldn’t even manage to not be around when her Elvis blew up on his toilet.
Rocks on November 21, 2012 at 7:38 PM
Achievements? This coded racial language is extremely offensive.
theperfecteconomist on November 21, 2012 at 7:40 PM
Sure, she accomplished a lot.
Enabling and covering up the sexual abuse of women by her husband is a major accomplishment if you’re a Democrat. That woman’s a saint.
hepcat on November 21, 2012 at 7:41 PM
Well, she got Chris Stevens killed.
Oh, wait, I think she meant positive accomplishments.
Okay, she overcharged Russia. That’s something isn’t it? (Never mind that they knew it before she did.)
Dusty on November 21, 2012 at 7:42 PM
She’s accomplished more than any of you.
Mmm...Burritos on November 21, 2012 at 7:43 PM
“Who me”? Or “I ain’t no ways tahrd.”
arnold ziffel on November 21, 2012 at 7:49 PM
That’s an easy one. She married Bill Clinton.
petefrt on November 21, 2012 at 7:54 PM
Crackin’ me up. Well done.
The Priscilla Presley of politics !!!
petefrt on November 21, 2012 at 7:57 PM
For the Republic, or against the Republic?
(You need to qualify questions like that.)
CPT. Charles on November 21, 2012 at 8:02 PM
She’s stood by her men pretty well. I mean, at least the two who have allowed her out.
JellyToast on November 21, 2012 at 8:05 PM
She promised to create thousands of jobs for NYS when she ran for Senator. That didn’t happen.
Connie on November 21, 2012 at 8:06 PM
More like you, I hope.
Alinsky is the new norm. It’s a new game. We learn to play and win, or it’s a one party country from here on out.
They start on our guy, Rubio. We start on their guy, Shrillary. Bring it.
petefrt on November 21, 2012 at 8:17 PM
Hillary certainly’s accomplished more than Obama had when he first ran for president, a fact that offsets the sting of Ann Althouse’s question since she voted for Obama in 2008.
Strick on November 21, 2012 at 8:33 PM
Chauncey Gardner
fitzfong on November 21, 2012 at 8:37 PM
And what accomplishments might those be, for either of them?
Hillary married Bill.
Obama was a community organizer.
Gimme a break.
petefrt on November 21, 2012 at 8:40 PM
Well, there is the uhh, ummm… reset button?
AshleyTKing on November 21, 2012 at 9:27 PM
Bill is the much better politician. She is a self-assured non-entity.
AshleyTKing on November 21, 2012 at 9:29 PM
Wait – isn’t Mooochelle married to him..?
