Boehner: ObamaCare must be on the table in “fiscal cliff” negotiations
“We can’t afford it, and we can’t afford to leave it intact,” Boehner wrote in the Cincinnati Enquirer. “That’s why I’ve been clear that the law has to stay on the table as both parties discuss ways to solve our nation’s massive debt challenge.”
Republicans have already made clear that they hope to go after the law’s insurance subsidies in upcoming debt talks. The subsidies represent billions of dollars that will, in 2014, help the uninsured pay for private insurance coverage. But Republicans want to cut into the subsidies to help pay for a fiscal-cliff agreement.

I’d prefer if he just said no tax increases without full repeal. Otherwise, they’ll have to pry that gavel away from us and explain to people why they insisted on hiking taxes on a health plan they never wanted.

The question isn’t whether there will be a deal (I have a feeling there might not be), but who can be made to be responsible when there is no deal.

Frankly, we have less to lose by going off the cliff. The “sequestrations” were aimed at a GOP White House in 2013. Defense cuts were all set to be blamed when the terrorists escalate (again) from attacking embassies to hitting the mainland. The end of all Bush tax cuts was supposed to be a financial bomb set to go off in a 2013 with a White House desperate to re-enact tax cuts, and Democrats insisting on restructuring them to further extort from the rich.
Now if something goes *boom* in the mainland on 0bama’s watch, his Administration will be there to take the blame. And they can’t argue like Bush could, that he had barely found the keys to the Oval Office bathroom when the attack happened. Now Bob Bobo in Bluecity, who voted to let the suits pick up the check, will be stuck with increased taxes of his own.

Oops, wrong thread. LOL

Let the tax cuts expire.
Let sequestration happen.
Let the borrowing hit its ceiling.
Then, start negotiating…

Hispanics like Obamacare, Boner. It has to be off the table, or they won’t vote for us.

The Weeping Boner was supposed to make full repeal of ObamaScare one of the conditions of raising the debt limit or passing any of the continuing resolutions in 2011. That’s what the 2010 elections were all about. But the Weeper and his gang of idiots chose, instead, to stab the Tea Party in the back and kill any enthusiasm that anyone might have had for the GOP to stop Barky – which led, in good part, to Romney’s awful showing against the worst, most un-American, dumbest, most inept person to ever occupy the White House while the US was in terrible shape and only getting worse.
Now, the Weeper is going to act as if he’ll do anything about ObamaScare? LOL. The Weeping Boner can’t be trusted to do anything. He is awful. I can only say that I have no faith in a House GOP that would re-elect such a loser idiot to the Speakership after he mucked everything up so much in his first term. That re-election is truly insane especially as the Weeper should have been unceremoniously tossed from the Speakership back in March of 2011.
No matter. The GOP got my last vote this time. No more. They can find some illegal to replace me – as they seem more interested in doing, anyway. There was one chance to restore America and the GOP blew it (with lots of help from an insane, un-American populace).
Welcome to the American Socialist Superstate.

Turnabout is fair play if Comrade Chairman Obama wants to cite polls that show 50% or more supporting his position during “negotiations”.
However, where Dear Leader is concerned “fair” only means whatever he wants it to mean whenever he wants it to mean that.

How about states can fully opt out of all provisions in exchange for an increase in income taxes for the “rich”?
rob verdi on November 21, 2012 at 3:33 PM
Whoa! This is fuc*king genius!
Give them tax increases on the 1% (pointless exercise that harms more Democraps than real people) in exchange for tax reform and the gutting of ObaaahmaCare. OMGoodness.

Second look at the “weepy one”?
WisRich on November 21, 2012 at 3:53 PM
I assume that this means that Boner will switch all his efforts over to repealing the “Caucasian Tax” (aka “tanning tax”) contained in Obamacare: trading the Caucasian Tax repeal for some “magic deficit-reducing beans” to be delivered in a decade or so!
