Obama’s next cabinet appointee: Antonio Villaraigosa?
“I’ve heard commerce … transportation,” he said. “The other day, someone congratulated me that I got appointed. I said, ‘There’s not a job opening, man!’”…
With LaHood’s future up in the air and Villaraigosa’s pedigree as a leader in the transportation sector due to his unprecedented rail expansion in the nation’s car capital, the Department of Transportation seems to many Washington observers the most obvious landing spot for the term-limited mayor. Villaraigosa also has expressed an interest in the state’s governorship, but that election is two years away. California’s Senate seats are occupied by the popular Sens. Dianne Feinstein and Barbara Boxer, who show no signs of slowing down.

I know some LA Police Officers and they me rumors, which over time tend to be correct. This guy has several children from the Secretary of the Mayor staff.
However, he is gearing up for a governor run. Also, he wants to give City ids to illegal aliens.

A good pick, given the times.
1) He hasn’t betrayed his oath and the nation and been embroiled in a disgraceful scandal, albeit because he hasn’t actually served in the cabinet yet.
2) His presence will lead people to associate Obama’s administration with Los Angeles and California, and, as the latter two fail, vice versa.
3) The posts for which he’s being floated are irrelevant make work loot distribution, so he can’t really foul it up on any significant level.

Local radio gadflies call him either “Tony Villar” as a dig for tacking his wife’s name onto his own and his fakish hispanic cred (speaks Spanish about as well a I do with my 3 years of HS Spanish and a lifetime in southern Cal), or “Antonio Villareconquista” – because of his ties to racist organizations with tendencies to “reconquer” Mexican territory, like MEChA (National Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlán ) and La Raza (“The Race”).

Unfortunately he has done both, with his steadfast dedication to LA as a “sanctuary city”, and his rediculous affair with a TV reporter and acceptance of personal gifts such as expensive trips and tickets to sporting events, etc.
He is not only utterly incompetent, he is utterly corrupt. I would truly love to see him representing Obama on the national stage.
