Egyptian PM: Gaza truce may be close
Egypt is seeking to reinstate a truce after an informal one it brokered in October collapsed.
“I think we are close, but the nature of this kind of negotiation, (means) it is very difficult to predict,” he said.
Egyptian President Mohamed Mursi had said on Saturday that there were “some indications” a ceasefire could be reached soon but said there were no firm guarantees.

A “truce” to Hamas simply means a chance to rearm, resupply and fix equipment. Then Hamas starts up all over again. The truces don’t “collapse”. They are rejected by Hamas.

This is the kind of reporting I’ve come to expect from the Reuters of photoshopped news-making and disinformation peddling fame.

Truce in Arabic means ‘reload.’ No truce. Unconditional Hamas surrender. Period.

They tend to do this the easy way – a new barrage of rockets.
Saves money on plane flights to Cairo to ‘negotiate’.

The Israeli deal ceding Gaza to the Palestinians sure succeeded in stabilizing the region.

Wait. Why is Egypt involved in peace talks with Hamas?

Actually, it was the threat of losing the Twinkie which caused Hamas to go off and now that there is a potential buyer for the brand they are starting to reconsider. At leas that is what Ambassador Rice said on the Sunday shows.

The usual one-sided “truce”
I don’t think so. Not this time, bubela.
Sure, sign away, but the first rocket that flies into Israel afterwards is going to start the shit. And it won’t stop.
