Hey GOP, take the Palin cure
She’s tough as nails too. After Election 2008, she was supposed to have been through. This year eight of the 14 GOP candidates Palin endorsed for Congress won election or reelection, including tea party favorite Ted Cruz for a Senate seat in Texas…
There are also the snooty East Coast Republican intellectual types, such as Peggy Noonan, who look down their noses at a woman who doesn’t shop at Neiman Marcus and didn’t attend an Ivy League university. But Peggy made a fool of herself calling the election for Romney on Nov. 5. Who’s going to care what she and her ilk have to say next time?
Some Republicans will say Palin has too much baggage from 2008, and we need to look for a new Sarah Palin. But I don’t see what’s wrong with the one we’ve got. Ever since the 1990s, Republicans have been looking for the next Ronald Reagan. Reagan is now revered in bipartisan circles, but during his presidency he was, like Palin, ridiculed by liberals. They cited “Bedtime for Bonzo” and sneered at his no-name college degree.
Sarah Palin is the new Ronald Reagan: charming and affable and unwilling to back down if she’s right. I can’t see what’s wrong with that.

they never destroyed her. she is doing just fine. they tried to destroy her but they couldn’t no matter how much they tried!!
that’s another reason to nominate her. she’s already been through so much liberal hate, what else can they throw at her? they’ve gone through her past and tried to create fake “scandals.” they went through her emails. they accused her of causing a mass murder. she is used to getting crazy attacks thrown at her. whatever stupid thing the liberals will try to hit her with next… sarah and her supporters have seen it all before. we’re used to deflecting the crazy liberal attacks. if she runs for pres, she’s ready… and we’re ready.

He doesn’r even get a copy of the home game, the proof of the pudding was Raddatz, who was married to Obama’s FCC commissioner,
who was at the Naval Observatory, six months before (to borrow a cup of sugar) was spinning the questions, from the first minute, of course, blame the idiot debate commission, that ok’d someone who somehow managed not to find a single McCain supporter in Iraq?

Palin needs to win a Congressional or Senatorial seat before anything more can be said about her influence or future political prospects.

Geez. If more people were willing to spend the time and effort to correct the media’s narrative we might be saying “President Romney” right now.
So let’s disparage the people who make this effort.

That one really cracked me up. Hillary? The electioneering juggernaut that won exactly one election? The sleazy, corrupt liar who made 10,000% interest on her one and only venture into cattle futures, and we’re supposed to believe she had no inside help? The conniving, shameless shrew that tried to frame innocent civil servants in the White House Travel Office so she could replace them with her cronies?
And lately, the smug and self-satisfied incompetent who claimed she was “resetting” foreign relations all over, but couldn’t be bothered to protect her own ambassadors in the Middle East?
It amazes me how people want to treat Hillary as some kind of brilliant political juggernaut.

Funny, all I ever see the Palin cultist idesign do is attack anyone who doesn’t bow down to and worship Sarah Palin and also attack any candidate not named Palin. This is not “correcting people’s misinterpretations” of Palin. Typical Palin worshiper who cares only about what’s good for Palin.

Why? By 2016 there will be a designated Palin section in both the House and Senate. I’m sure her influence and prospects will be ok.
A. Weasel on November 18, 2012 at 10:56 PM
Maybe there’s something to this dog whistle business. It’s amazing how fast bluegill and Moesart show up to a Palin thread. And the way they suddenly take over a thread with rapid-fire and ill-considered insults is kind of Pavlovian.
Not that there’s anything wrong with that…..
There Goes The Neighborhood on November 18, 2012 at 11:07 PM
After the half baked efforts of Perry, Bachmann, et al, not a few of them wouldn’t have been back in office, if not for Sarah’s office,
I don’t see what the problem is, for someone who has been right on the issues in spades,

If she had weathered the storm as governor and served her full term, she would have had a shot. But, she opted (wisely?) for the TV star route. She’s doing just fine, but she will never be the nominee.

She would have to make it through a tough primary season to be the nominee. I am certainly willing to let her try and would cheer her efforts. Chips will fall where they do.
KCB on November 18, 2012 at 11:31 PM
Certainly. It’s not like there’d be any unknown skeletons in her closet.
kim roy on November 18, 2012 at 11:38 PM
Yup. Although, I have my fears/doubts/reservations etc, the primary process is open access, last I checked. If Palin jumps in, whups butt, and grabs the ring before all others, she deserves to be the nominee. And it’s likely that she’ll have changed many, many opinions about her along the way.
Robert_Paulson on November 18, 2012 at 11:44 PM
Wow. Just wow. I guarantee if Palin’s name is mentioned on a thread that Bluegill will break her neck to make a snide remark which says a lot more about the gilled one than it does Palin. Is Palin that much a threat to you? Relax. Calm yourself. I doubt she will run. If she decides to run, you will have ample time to gleefully throw your little hate bombs.
JannyMc on November 18, 2012 at 11:49 PM
Promoting Sarah Palin would be tragic but fun. The only person who is dumber than Palin is John McCain. He’s been fun to watch lately. Maybe they can get the gang back together.
The so-called “elites” have had it with the toothless buzzards with no diplomas and their version of intellect. Palin appeals to the dumb, it’s that simple.
I personally look forward to the GOP becoming more like my favorite social clubs than a dive bar.
Capitalist Hog on November 18, 2012 at 11:49 PM
I agree with that. If we can’t pull our act together we get what we deserve. Palin couldn’t do worse than Barry.

Capitalist Hog on November 18, 2012 at 11:52 PM
My concern with a lot of these people who worship Palin is that they feel like only Palin would be acceptable. It reminds me of the Ron Paul crowd.
I remember when Rick Perry was making rumblings about perhaps entering the race last year, the Palin worshipers savaged him, not because they didn’t think he had a chance or agree with him on the issues, but because they saw him as a threat to Palin, who had still not announced her decision not to run.
Also, a lot of these Palin worshipers refuse to acknowledge that Palin herself is at least partially to blame for the fact that she is now viewed as totally unelectable and unqualified for the presidency. Look, the woman struggled to name a single newspaper she read, and she couldn’t name a single Supreme Court case other than Roe V. Wade. And let’s not forget when she struggled to name even a single founding father during that interview with Glenn Beck. She is not exactly our brightest conservative light out there. Yes, how I wish she could’ve been a modern, American Margaret Thatcher, but her own actions showed she just didn’t have what it took.

Potential 2016 candidates need to start boning up on national issues and foreign policy, just as Mitt had to do in the years leading up to the election. Scott Walker, Susanna Martinez and Bobby Jindal need to be prepared and cannot pull a Palin. We saw what happened when we ran a woefully unprepared candidate like Palin. Not pretty.
The Palin worshipers and apologists, many of whom are represented here in this very thread, will make excuses for Palin no matter what stupid thing she does nor what office she disgracefully resigns from. But we know that many more voters do care that the candidate is prepared and capable of completing a term in office. Susana Martinez, in particular, as a woman, needs to learn from the Palin disaster and start planning ahead now. Perhaps a female governor like Martinez could also assume a more prominent role in the national party now.

Palin is conservative, courageous, articulate, clever, witty, and hot.
She’ll always have my vote.

The difference is that Sarah is conservative and Mittness isn’t. So how does a conservative defend, let alone correct misconceptions? Depending on whether it’s Friday or Tuesday, we’re supposed to the “flipped ” Romney and the next day the “flopped ” Romney — and sometimes neither position is conservative. But y’all bought the turd blossom koolaid only to see the Bush gang come up short twice. Stick a fork in the GOP. What’s the point of competing, if you already agreed to never challenge cases of fraud. Time for a new party not beholden to that despicable court agreement.

I’d vote for her. To quote the movie War Games, ……”Hell, I’d p!22 on a spark-plug if I’d thought it would do any good.”
Or just as good, have Pres. Rubio appoint her head of Interior or EPA. Heads would ‘esplode. Would be fun.

It’s not so much that the media destroyed her as they’ve rendered her practically unelectable, thanks to a very stupid electorate who gets its news from SNL and Jon Stewart (believe me, I know lots of these people and some of them even call themselves “Republicans”).
I know I would vote for her, as many here at Hot Air would, but she is facing an uphill battle. Sarah Palin is the only politician to whom I have ever made a political donation, and would do so again to help her get her message out.
Probably a good idea. Unseating Murky would be oh-so-sweet and would mark the beginning of a huge Palin comeback.

Interesting that many believe that Palin needs a new office to ever be able to run for President, yet Reagan was out of office for 6 years when he won in 1980. And Romney had held political office for only 4 years in his entire life and was also out of office for 6 years in 2012. Where was the claims Romney needed a new office in 2009? Funny how that works isn’t it?
I have seen Palin debate twice and came away fairly impressed. In a debate setting in a Republican primary, she could dominate. I think she has tons of ability to kill the number 1 flaw in her reputation[stupid]. Do that and she becomes a leading candidate.
I am not saying I would support her. Maybe. But I think it would be great if she ran. I want a true primary this time. Not the faux primary of 2008. The establishment needs to stop pushing their boys. Its already irritating. Let everybody that wants to run run and let the best person win. And stop the pushimg and shoving of Republicans by Republicans between now and then. And the attacking of Republicans by Republicans between now and then.
