Obama calls on campaign staff to help pressure GOP on tax hikes
It also offers the first sign that Democrats see another chance to try to turn the president’s vaunted political apparatus into a more permanent grass-roots movement. A similar attempt after Obama’s 2008 victory produced mixed results.
The plan calls for the former campaign organizers to orchestrate protests in front of lawmakers’ offices and set up phone banks to call constituents, among other things, according to people familiar with the evolving strategy.
The effort will focus on GOP lawmakers from multiple states — including Kentucky, Maine, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Virginia — that are home to Republican leaders or members who are considered moveable on taxes. It also involves a new Web site, theaction.org, which will serve as a hub for the tax fight and future campaigns.
The plan reflects the post-election confidence that Obama has displayed in recent days — a sense of strength that was nonexistent the last time he tried to strike a deal with GOP leaders in the ill-fated summer of 2011.

Thank goodness that just because he won re-election doesn’t mean TOTUS has to stop what he’s really good at — campaigning.
Wonder what he’ll use OFA on 1/21/17 . . .

Of course, by “grassroots” you mean “Big Labor”
How Orwellgasmic that sounds…
Thanks for showing your hand so soon – Boner.
The guy gets less votes than last time – doesn’t get any significant traction in the House – yet is confident. NPD with GOP enablers. He’s a monster.

Give him his tax hikes. Give him everything. They won’t stop until they impose “equality” by force. Give people exactly what they think they want.

OFA will be used to try to rebuild Obama’s tattered reputation on January 21st, 2017 after he learns that Rubio can totally play the same game Obama did and get elected in a campaign about nothing or he tanks the economy so much that Ryan wins.

Please learn the lessons of GHWB. Going along with tax hikes does not win you any votes.

I hope so! Tax the rich so hard the Democrats choke on voting for it! Say to the American people, “The Republican party believes cutting taxes AND spending helps everyone, but elections have consequences. The people have spoken. When unemployment goes up and we slide into a double dip recession remember to thank Obama.”

We get blamed either way. So it’s off the cliff or 20 Republicans vote for tax increases.

Ah, yes, the perpetual campaign. It goes on even after the man has no office left to run for.

Good luck getting all those kiddies who voted for consequence-free sex and gay marriage to get out of bed for a protest for higher taxes.

Wannabe. Overrated.
Chavez is the real deal, he actually takes sh!t away from the rich and gives it to the poor, he shuts down conservative media, he nationalizes industries. Obama is a dilettante faux-socialist and his campaign people are all upper-class white liberal hipsters who don’t know jack about the poor or the middle class. They relied on the big city black/union machines to win this election, plus a lot of campaigning on very white college campuses.

IMO, I would not under-rate bho? He is JUST getting started with his plans to totally crater our nation? And like all the other dictators/kings he will not rely on dc or the courts, just do as he has been doing and dare anyone to stop him?
