Romney: Bill Clinton told me he thought I might have won if not for the hurricane
–Romney says president Bill Clinton called him after the election and said he might have won if not for Hurricane Sandy. Romney: “I spoke with president Clinton the day before yesterday, he called and spent thirty minutes chatting with me. He said a week out I thought you were going to win. And he said, but the hurricane happened, and it gave the president a chance to be presidential, and to look bipartisan, and you know he got a little more momentum, and of course he also said that when he was watching Ann speak at the Republican convention, he decided he was tempted to join the Republican Party. So he may have just been effusive with generous comments as he chatted.”

Come on, Mitt.
Notorious GOP on November 15, 2012 at 10:06 AM
If not for voter fraud in targeted areas, he would have won. This morning on DC area wmal a poll watcher called in and described what she saw – a huge organized scam in action in northern virginia.
Don’t go back to sleep. We have to take this on.
perries on November 15, 2012 at 10:08 AM
Or Chris “ORCA” Christie.
the_nile on November 15, 2012 at 10:09 AM
Hee.. I love Billy Jeff and how he focuses on the important things like how much he wants to bang Ann Romney.
Illinidiva on November 15, 2012 at 10:12 AM
1. Sandy/Krispy Kreme
2. ORCAfail
3. Rape-gate
If 1 and 3 don’t happen and 2 grades out as average, we’re talking about President-elect Romney right now.
LukeinNE on November 15, 2012 at 10:13 AM
Progressive looks to progressive for answers. Color me shocked!

Billy, Billy, Billy. Such a cruel lover. Mitt’s hair all mussed, glassy-eyed, Billy leans over as he puts on his coat and with quivering lips whispers in MItt’s ear “I’ll call you…”
Can you imagine if that gullible psychotic had won? You jerks dodged a bullet.
tommyhawk on November 15, 2012 at 10:13 AM
I hope Romney does not become bitter loser like Dukakis or Gore. He doesn’t strike me that way.
Ted Torgerson on November 15, 2012 at 10:13 AM
Yes, and you might have won:
if such a large part of the American electorate weren’t willfully stupid;
or if the election process in this country wasn’t wide open to fraud;
or if all the actual votes had been counted;
or if the military ballots weren’t “diverted”;
or if …

Well at least it wasn’t Bush’s fault…
rich801 on November 15, 2012 at 10:14 AM
This is my favorite thing I have ever seen on this site. There is no way you are a teabagger.
tommyhawk on November 15, 2012 at 10:14 AM
Obama winning a second term crushed any hopes for Hillary to win the White House. Obama’s second term is going to make the Democratic party as toxic to voters, as the GOP was at the end of Bush’s second term.
The current Democratic coalition is built around the rock star status of Obama, not around the policies of the Democratic party. The left isn’t going to have another cult icon fall in their lap four years from now, meaning that Hillary is going to have to do something Obama never had to do: run on Obama’s record.

Romney: Bill Clinton told me he thought I might have won if not for the hurricane
You know, If I were Romney, upon hearing this I would
wonder if I wanted to be President with that many stupid
people. ANY person who decided how to vote based on a
Presidential response to a natural disaster does not
deserve to vote.
ToddPA on November 15, 2012 at 10:16 AM
He’s paying his wife a compliment and joking gently about Clinton’s pecadillos. Romney is a man of tremendous personal integrity and perfectly mentally stable. In contrast, you leftists are social pollution.
Ted Torgerson on November 15, 2012 at 10:16 AM
@perries – that’s where I voted. Details?
mrsknightley on November 15, 2012 at 10:17 AM
The gullible psychotic-and also lazy incompetent-did win, fool. Hope you’re first to reap what was sown.
changer1701 on November 15, 2012 at 10:18 AM
I think he’s just deeply shaken, as I am. He hasn’t said anything too foolish yet. I just shake my head at the thought the country reelected Obama to a second term. Do they have any idea what they voted for? And he rarely if ever talks about real or important things. So, if anyone criticizes Susan Rice or others in his admin, then they better take him on? What a stupid, immature fool.
Paul-Cincy on November 15, 2012 at 10:18 AM
I don’t think he has said anything inaccurate. Yesterday it was about the power of the incumbent, being able to favor certain demographics. Sandy did pretty much kill any momentum Romney had left.
Zaggs on November 15, 2012 at 10:20 AM
Did he wag his finger as he told you that Mitt..?
d1carter on November 15, 2012 at 10:21 AM
One of the main problems with Mitt was he never really did anything for the GOP or for conservatives.
He basically was invisible after he was gov, until he wanted to run for Pres. Then after McCain lost, Mitt disappeared again… until he was running for Pres again.
stenwin77 on November 15, 2012 at 10:21 AM
“Voter Fraud!!!11″ “Sandy!!” “Ignant voters looking for free stuff!” “Single women only concerned about abortions and birth control!”
All pathetic, ridiculous excuses for a mediocre candidate with no clear vision for America, who took voter turnout for granted and thought hatred for Obama would be enough to sail to victory.
cornfedbubba on November 15, 2012 at 10:23 AM
Sorry, total BS. He contributed to a lot of down ticket campaigns during 2010. Who do you think was the first to support Rubio?
bluealice on November 15, 2012 at 10:27 AM
lol.. no basis in reality, but fun to read
gatorboy on November 15, 2012 at 10:28 AM
If that is the case – I weep for this country.
Oh and Christie better not even think about asking me for his support/money.

First- all the Mitt bashers can piss off, and 2nd, this is just Clintons way of stoking the fire of dislike by Republicans for Christie.

In a’profession’ full of professional liars, Billy Jeff is pretty much The Father of Lies.
CorporatePiggy on November 15, 2012 at 10:34 AM
Yep. For me as well, I gave him a pass on the first day, but after “crying when BS called” – I’m done with him.

That’s some good s**t you’re smoking there.
mrsknightley on November 15, 2012 at 10:35 AM
Obama told me Romney might have won in a landslide if it weren’t for all the cheating.
The Rogue Tomato on November 15, 2012 at 10:36 AM
This is why romneycare is ball less. Clinton, AFTER HE LOSES, kisses Romney’s butt and he’s all warm and fuzzy.
Romney you fool, the object is to WIN. Clinton is setting you up, ties in with obama yesterday wanting him in his administration.
God, Rino’s are so FREAKIN DENSE. Democrats will use Romneycare for political purposes.
Christie was the fat useful rino during the election, now romney is the rino useful idiot after.
Danielvito on November 15, 2012 at 10:36 AM
Did he also tell you he was really pulling for you?
/that means something else in clintonesque btw…
roy_batty on November 15, 2012 at 10:36 AM
From apathy to dependence;
From dependence back into bondage.
May you be the first
VegasRick on November 15, 2012 at 10:37 AM
nahg, all the Mitt pimps can piss off. You gonna tell us how to win next time?
Let’s see: the voters are socialists, the “purists” dared to take offense at the guy who signed O-care’s template into law, you can’t beat Santa Claus, voters in Philly turned out to vote for O, the voters are stupid. Annnnnnnnd the hurricane helped knock Mitt out. ANYthing to avoid the reality that Romney was a sucky candidate.
ddrintn on November 15, 2012 at 10:38 AM
What are you talking about? What does Clinton gain from kissing Romney’s behind now? And what difference does it make how Romney responds? He’s not running for anything else.
changer1701 on November 15, 2012 at 10:39 AM
Conceding this point doesn’t negate the others.
mrsknightley on November 15, 2012 at 10:40 AM
Eh. The Mitt-bashers got what they wanted.
changer1701 on November 15, 2012 at 10:40 AM
Yeah, but Obamacare, and the vile, underhanded way it was jammed down our throats, was supposed to make the D party toxic, especially after the GOP’s huge house gains in 2010.
Except that the America-hating sociopath won reelection, and the leftists actually picked up two Senate seats.
No matter how toxic the D party may seem to be, they know how to cheat and demonize, and they won’t forget how between now and 2016.

changer1701 on November 15, 2012 at 10:39 AM
His wife is under a cloud (bengazi), romney can be helpful with the republican house.
Why was clinton so active in the campaign and now he’s kissing romney’s butt. Does that make sense to you!
Danielvito on November 15, 2012 at 10:42 AM
The Republican House isn’t going to take their marching orders from Romney. Do you think because Clinton called him Romney will rush to Boehner and tell him not to conduct hearings on Benghazi? Even if he did, why would Boehner listen?
changer1701 on November 15, 2012 at 10:45 AM
changer1701 on November 15, 2012 at 10:45 AM
So you think it’s a coincidence, that Obama yesterday in his first press conference in 8 months talked about romney having a role in his adminstration and today you have clinton.
Romney is a useful rino dolt that Obama/Clinton are trying to use. They need GOP friends with Bengazi about to erupt!
Danielvito on November 15, 2012 at 10:49 AM
Yeah.. tommyhawk I’m a chick and don’t swing that way. It was a joke about Billy Jeff’s well known sexual adventures. After having to deal with Barry for the last four years, I miss Billy Jeff.
As for public figures I’d totally sleep with.. I think that I’ve made my preference for Wisconsin budget nerds pretty well known.
Illinidiva on November 15, 2012 at 10:50 AM
No, it just means that the others flow from it.
No, you got what you wanted: Super-Electable Inevitable who won his precious indies. Good job, ‘bots.

the guy spent the last month or so calling you a liar.
Bill Clinton calling you a liar.
Think about that.
Also, I really hope people didn’t vote for Obama because he walked along a beach for 10 minutes after a hurricane.
Joseph Russo III on November 15, 2012 at 11:11 AM
A call from Clinton to make him feel better??
This is why we need a TRUE Conservative to lead the party.
