CNN: Petraeus to testify he knew Libya was terrorism “almost immediately”
Pentagon correspondent Barbara Starr reported that a high-placed source informed her that former CIA Chief David Petraeus will use his upcoming testimony to amend his previous testimony. According to this source, Petraeus will tell the closed door congressional hearing that he knew “almost immediately” that the September 11 anniversary attack on our Libyan consulate was a terrorist attack committed by the al-Qaeda-linked militia Ansar Al Sharia. …
Other than Petraeus’s upcoming testimony being “different than what he initially said,” Starr’s source also reported that Petraeus will tell Congress that at first there were at least 20 different intelligence reports floating around that said the video was responsible for the attack, and that over time, those reports were “slowly disproved.”
Petraeus also told this source he believed the CIA talking points given to Susan Rice came from within the White House or Administration.

He’s already disgraced. Nothing now to prevent him from giving the unvarnished truth.

I think Petraeus may have just become Obama’s John Dean.

CNN is already asking if John McCain is being too political for calling Benghazi a coverup…

One President’s acceptable is repugnant to (apparently only) 49% of Americans.
Was the Obama Administration doing a little Fast & Furious gun-running to his Muslim Brotherhood buds — the Libyans, Syrians, Egyptians, et. al. — necessitating the destruction of evidence and a massive coverup? Furious minds want to know …

Why yes Mr. Obama, we DO have a problem with you. Glad you recognize it.

The corrupt legacy media is sensing this is a very dangerous time Dear Leader. They’ve gone from ignoring Benghazi to aggressively attack those those who will criticize him. If DP throws Dear Leader under the bus, they will rip him apart.

Communist News Network is going to do that? Why?

Nothingburger. Petraeus resigned in disgrace, an admitted adulterer, and is now apparently going to recant his previous testimony? This man’s word wouldn’t hold up in small claims court. Even without the nominal (R) behind his name.
Time for conservatives to smarten up.

We’ll see, but they’re against a warrior this time and they’ve already hit all the point and there is know way he gets out of this whole. DP knows he’s on Death Ground here. I suspect he knows what that means.

I believe it when I see it that he is even 1% honorable, and not totally in Obama’s pocket, like most **** morons, who didn’t earn them.
Schadenfreude on November 16, 2012 at 12:46 AM
Yesterday, in the presser, in a moment of utmost cockiness, Obama shot himself in the foot with foot in mouth disease. His bold “I told Rice what to say” should come back at him, in full, alas.
Schadenfreude on November 16, 2012 at 12:50 AM
Sounds like a variation on the Obama Gulf Drilling Moratorium Report Technique.

Of course 99% of Bams’ constituency has no idea this is even an issue.
PattyJ on November 16, 2012 at 1:49 AM
So the White House wrote the “CIA talking points” for Rice, complete with official “CIA” stamp, and just recently gave a copy to CBS for their morning show to maintain the Obama storyline????
Curiouser and curiouser.
The problem with lying is that you have to remember all the lies you have told, which is MUCH harder than simply telling the truth all the time.
No cable or sat, so C-SPAN via internet all day Friday!!!!
GOT to get my popcorn popper fixed!!!

hmmmm interesting no one else on cnn or msdnc is reporting this….
i know i know, they are defending the administration…

If DP can show that, as he seems to be saying, the WH altered the CIA’s assesment there will be fireworks.
His reputation doesn’t really matter. If he shows that CIA gave WH “X” and WH said CIA gave us “Y”, the gig is up.
Jabberwock on November 16, 2012 at 7:27 AM
Then they are not CIA talking points. They are White House talking points, otherwise known as lies. The use of the expression talking points is a freudian slip. Obama is a sociopathic liar. But he is human – barely.
Basilsbest on November 16, 2012 at 7:38 AM
I sure hope so jabber
Or the WH will get someone from the cia to fall on their sword and say they gave susan that memo and not the wh….they are evil
cmsinaz on November 16, 2012 at 7:40 AM
Good points from both of you.
If Rice was referring to notes given to her, what was on the letterhead. WH or CIA ?
If anything other than official CIA, than it is NOT CIA information. Lots of room for editorial manipulation.
And for security reasons, I highly doubt that Rice was walking around with an original CIA document on her person. She had talking points.
Jabberwock on November 16, 2012 at 7:59 AM
Yes. Catherine Herridge hinted at that this morning. The CIA doesn’t issue talking points. It issues intelligence assessments. Talking points come from politicians.
petefrt on November 16, 2012 at 8:07 AM
Agreed. That part of the gig is up and the WH is shown to be engaged in a massive cover up. Next we need to move on to what exactly are they covering up? What was the CIA mission in Benghazi? What were they doing? Who authorized the mission?
Trafalgar on November 16, 2012 at 8:12 AM
I hope this bites this administration in the buttocks
cmsinaz on November 16, 2012 at 8:13 AM
Buttocks? What’s a buttocks?
petefrt on November 16, 2012 at 8:16 AM
Ok
I’ll say it a$$
cmsinaz on November 16, 2012 at 8:22 AM
True. But, unfortunately, I fear this will give the CIA a blackeye and I do not like that.
If it can be proven that politicians gave such an order or directions, CIA can say they were just doing their job and come out of ot OK. However, given the results of F&F investigation, I am not optimistic. Proving a cover-up does kind of beg the question, though.
Jabberwock on November 16, 2012 at 8:25 AM
Now I feel guilty.
………………..
Brian Kilmeade says FNC’s sources are confirming that Petraeus will say that within 24 hours he knew it was a terrorist attack. So now the question is why did he push the YouTube meme afterward. Heh.
petefrt on November 16, 2012 at 8:29 AM
Because he was being blackmailed by the WH?
Trafalgar on November 16, 2012 at 8:33 AM
Sure looks like it.
petefrt on November 16, 2012 at 8:36 AM
His previous briefing wasn’t under oath. It was a briefing. He was blackmailed to keep his mouth shut until after the election. And I believe it was MSDNC says he’s an R.
txhsmom on November 16, 2012 at 8:37 AM
Obama did say that. Also, L. Graham came out mighty strong even for him when he’s up for reelection. Me thinks McCain was told what happened and he told Graham.
txhsmom on November 16, 2012 at 8:47 AM
A little Chicago nudge from the WH methinks petefrt
cmsinaz on November 16, 2012 at 8:53 AM
Yep, either a little Chicago nudge or a little Chicago hug.
