Allen West: I won’t run for Congress in Georgia
In an interview with the Atlanta Journal-Constitution West turned down an invitation by Georgia Republican Party chairwoman Sue Everhart.
“No,” West told the Atlanta newspaper on Wednesday. “Look, let me tell you something. I have moved my wife around for 20-some-odd years, being in the military, and she was also the daughter of a career military guy. When I retired, she chose Florida. That’s where my daughter’s in school, in college, my youngest daughter’s in high school. That’s our home. It’s a very nice thing, but I’m not an NFL free agent.”

He’s a man of his word. He always said that when he was done, he was done. I’ll miss him but I’m glad we had him in the House even for a short while.

Such a good man. The GOP needs to thank him somehow. Keep him politically alive, if possible.

That was a wonderful thing to say about your family Allen. I sure hope you come out ahead with the recount. If not, I’m sure you will find something to do?
BTW, I really like West and thank him for his service.

Good. Hopefully he’ll never run again and he’ll just be a two-year footnote.
Such a good man. I’m so thankful for his votes to raise the debt ceiling and to continue the Pigford payouts, and I’m so glad he told citizens who criticize the government to shut up.
Such a good man.

Allen West talks a good game at times, but when it came to redistributing free stuff, wasn’t hard to notice he channeled Eric Holder on that one.

Good man. He’s not some guy so desperate to cling to power that he’ll go anywhere just for a shot at winning an election. Good for him. I do think though that instead of running for the House this term he should have run for Senate against Bill Nelson. I think West would have had a better shot than Connie Mack.

You won’t run for congress anywhere, George Allen, because all you know how to do is shove your foot down your throat and lose in places any other conservative can win. Give it up.

Good riddance. Now go have fun with that bike you love more than your wife.

You swine, with apologies to the good/clean pigs, you are not allowed to even spit on this man/mensch’s shoes.
You are the tiniest person on Earth, in all regards.

Just a tad ‘bigger’ than lester is ernesto.

His shoes aren’t worthy of my spit.

RATS! We in Texas were willing to trade a Governor, a Lieutenant Governor, a Speaker of the House and two politicians to be named later for a franchise political player like him!
michaelo on November 15, 2012 at 5:32 PM
Your use of franchise couldn’t be more apropos.

I have noticed in your comments a rather curious obsession with size, usually that of men. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.
