Perhaps I am a complete idiot but was/is he not the head of the CIA?
Very alarming to be having an affair but guess it it is nothing to the libs when it was ok for a President to be doing an intern. It would get others fired. Can I ask why was he the head he seems really stupid a gmail account? Really what are you 12?
All I remember being told is if you hold no value to the vows you said your wife why would we expect much different to your country?

Well, since there’s no longer a Soviet Union, of course she wasn’t a Soviet spy.

However, the idea that a foreign power couldn’t try to extort him, or for that matter, turn her into an asset, simply doesn’t pass the giggle test.

When someone involved with intelligence is trying to keep something hidden from everyone, that something is, by definition, a potential object of blackmail.

We’re being offered a false choice here – either you worship someone as a hero in all areas of their life or your don’t consider them a hero at all.

I can stand in awe of the bravery of the men on the beaches in Normandy without expecting that they would all be Jesus-incarnate.

Similarly, I can appreciate the thoughtfulness that founding fathers put in to the Declaration and the Constitution without expecting that they applied that same thoughtfulness in all areas of their life.

As for Patraeus, I haven’t really noticed a whole lot of Crazy Christians ™ going after his job. Sure, some people on a political site might state that it is an issue and some might state that it isn’t, but, all of those people found out about it when he tendered his resignation. In other words, unless you know of some crazy right-wing Christian in the Obama administration that forced Patraeus out, you’re tilting at windmills.
