Excuses, excuses
Obama didn’t run on anything. To be sure, the president’s second-term agenda was amorphous at best, except for rolling back the Bush tax cuts on the rich. Still, the direction was clear. He chose not to take an obvious opening to become more moderate after the 2010 elections. Instead, he moved left. He ran on an unabashed social liberalism seeking to impose an unprecedented contraception mandate on employers — including religious employers — and he successfully sold it as a natural extension of the rights of women. He ran on a scorching economic populism that worked in the Midwest. He made his overall vision of government aggrandizement clear enough, and still prevailed.
The president doesn’t have a mandate. No, he doesn’t, but who cares? He doesn’t need a mandate to consolidate Obamacare, get some kind of amnesty for illegal immigrants, appoint a few more Supreme Court justices, and unleash his regulators.
Republicans will benefit from a period of soul-searching. Well, they might. On the other hand, it could just as easily become a period of divisiveness, folly, and self-delusion.

The GOP will soul-search, look into their own hearts, and eventually acquiesce to the ‘rats for fear of losing their jobs.

Ahhh a steaming hot cup of Eeyore. Just when I thought the standing athwart history yelling “stop” had gone out of style.

Personally I think the GOP should work to improve their image and screw over the Administration if it can be done without impact to the public. No opportunity to make Obama & his team look like idiots should be by-passed.

there was a nyt story i linked to last night that explained the ‘behavioral science’ that the barry organizers used to get out the vote. Basically, knock on people’s doors, tell them we know you voted last time, it is important that you vote this time, will you sign this card with BARRY’s picture on it to PROMISE you’ll vote.. To me that’s a little creepy….
but that is what passes for science nowadays in the land of the Left (i.e. universities)
similarly the lefty pollsters seem to have decided that averages of State polling done by virtually anyone…is far better than Gallup doing a national probability same
and leftists like Sam Wang et al. are bitching that the House is non-legtimate because of gerry-rigging (yeah, happened in the 80s too…but the other way around
so, conservatives will be under a crushing weight that the R party does not represent America. They’d done this since 2000…and we should expect more not less
and there are those eager to support a Schumer-Graham amnesty bill. Lindsey has always wanted in name in lights.

It’s fascinating, isn’t it?
Has anyone ever seen the Democrats lose an election and spend weeks wondering if they should become more like Republicans?

The repubs fall for it again.
When you look in the mirror, what do you want to see??…an effete metro-sexual cupcake who will never be respected by Hipsters anyway..or a man or a women standing on the respect and strength of their own principles?

Nothing good will come out of Obama winning a second time.
Realize that policies and positions were irrelevant for this election, and that all elections from here on out will depend on getting campaign workers to non-voters and badgering them into voting for you. Use technology, and make the primaries a test of each campaigns system.
