“We would rather lose with you than win with anyone else”
One Romney staffer said the line easily reached a hundred employees Friday as the former presidential candidate ate pizza out of the box in his office. Mrs. Romney wore jeans and a sweater. The Romneys came to headquarters every day after the election after telling staffers they would do anything they could to help them find their next job.
Their pledge to help came just hours after the loss Tuesday night. Romney called a staff meeting at headquarters the next morning. With emotions still raw from the night before, Romney and his wife arrived to deafening applause and chants of “Mitt, Mitt, Mitt.” As workers wiped away their tears, one staffer said Romney was clearly moved and that Mrs. Romney cried as they stood before the team.
Campaign manager Matt Rhoades told the Governor and his wife, “We would rather lose with you than win with anyone else,” sources said.

He then added, “Because we despise conservatism, we despise sincerity, and we despise consistency.”

You didn’t vote against Obama or for Romney. Moron.

Give it a rest.
I have a lot of respect and appreciation for what Mitt and his family did.

Romney is a nice guy. He was just in over his head.

The nation made its choice, I am sure the next 4 years will be as good as the last 4.

With comments like these, I feel like I’m back in the GOP primaries. Good times.

Romney’s team did not run a good campaign. Their messaging was very wooden, ObamaCare’s unpopular individual mandate was off the table as an issue, and their campaign team refused to work with or empower local activists and local parties in the key swing states. Worst of all, when the polls made it obvious that he was behind and wasn’t improving, his staff apparently concealed that truth from Romney (assuring him it was poll bias) instead of canging strategies.
Bottom line: Romney’s loyalty to those losers, while touching on a personal level, hurt the country.

You’re justifiably angry at a handful of upper-echelon advisors and consultants.
The rank and file that he was bidding goodbye were probably overwhelmingly under 30, working 100-hour weeks for substandard pay, living on bad coffee, adrenaline and memories of personal relationships that are limping along or were killed off outright. They’re hungover (maybe not Team Romney), unemployed and depressed. You should cut them some slack (and Romney should find the money in his billion dollar budget to pay them through at least December).

The Romneys are very good people. We would have been lucky to have them in the White House.
Now we are stuck with four more years of the lying moochers.

Mitt Romney is this generations Robert MacNamara. Someone who is so focused on the metrics that they overlook the big picture.

What does this mean?

Well, the school of fish got their wishes. We got Romney shoved down our throats early on and were told we would vote for him and like it. So, to be team players we voted. Thank God, I only donated $100. They didn’t use the money wisely, anyway.
Chris “the hugger” Christie. *spit*
I think I hate professional political commenters and Romney staffers.

Hopefully the next jobs they find will not be on the 2016 campaign or any other critical GOP campaign. I’m sure some — like Stu Stevens and Fehrnstrom — will find their place in the Land of Misfit Republicans (MSNBC).

The perfect quote to describe what happened to the Republicans in 2012.
Before the votes were even done being counted on election night, the whispering began for amnesty (though it’s not whispering now). Likewise, we began hearing about how we were going to have to jettison fiscal, social, and foreign policy conservatism and how we needed to get behind the left.
Then of course the data came out showing this to be wrong. Under these circumstances, how could you NOT expect the party to split? To steal a quote talking about the end of a former US political party, “The party is dead—dead—dead!”

So long as you keep deluding yourselves into thinking that Mitt was a good person and a great candidate, there’s no reason to give it a rest. You guys have some serious blinders on and a cult of personality addiction, so I’m here to help you kick the habit.
You should reserve the word “moron” to apply to yourself. You sold out every ideal for the “electable” candidate, and you didn’t even win. Now that is sad.
Stoicism is why I don’t give up on Mittwits entirely, even though they show few signs of functioning brains. And patriotism is a motive for why you guys need to be shown the error of your ways.

You’re no patriot when you don’t believe in freedom, the very reason this country was founded.

52% of Americans wonder if they can get some free sh!t from the ________, if so , they want to vote for the _________.
Face it, you guys did not win anything, the country lost on 11/6/12 and you are not going to put that genie back in the bottle.

What an ugly thread. The Romney’s are trying to find jobs for their workers. The headline is not the story, just an excuse for the haters to …what?? (see above)
