The red flags in Obama’s foreign policy
Why were Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans murdered by Libyan jihadists? The preliminary round of official investigations may focus on decisions by mid-level officials at the State Department that deprived the Benghazi mission of adequate security, and a failure by the large CIA team in the city to detect the imminent threat from extremist groups.
But ultimately the disaster in Libya derived from Obama’s doctrine. Having been reluctantly dragged by France and Britain into intervening in Libya’s revolution, Obama withdrew U.S. planes from the fight as quickly as possible; when the war ended, the White House insisted that no U.S. forces stay behind. Requests by Libya’s fragile transition government for NATO’s security assistance were answered with an ill-conceived and ultimately failed program to train a few people in Jordan.
A new report by the Rand Corporation concludes that “this lighter-footprint approach has made Libya a test case for a new post-Iraq and Afghanistan model of nation-building.” But the result is that, a year after the death of dictator Moammar Gaddafi, Libya is policed by what amounts to a mess of militias. Its newly elected government has little authority over most of the country’s armed men — much less the capacity to take on the jidhadist forces gathering in and around Benghazi.

Red flags?
It is a red book with red pages with dark red ink.
The little red post-it tabs are just in neon red to bring attention to them and distract from the rest of the red around them.

All Presidents have bumps in the road with their foreign policy.
Nodoby said providing material support to AQ under the fiction that we were promoting self-determination was easy.

Hahaha, like the media would have said Obama produced a “brutal maelstrom of sectarian war in which al-Qaeda and allied jihadists are playing a growing role” before the election. Screw you, WaPo.

Surprisingly, the absence of American military force does not mean less death in the world.

Too much of an inconvenient truth for WaPo libs. Potential to destroy psyche must be ignored.

As a young lad I remember the start of WWII and Hitler, Stalin. It is the experience of many of us old timers that usually the one who stops a tyrant is the guy likely to stand up to the bully. U.S. of A. is that guy. The rest of the world are “get-along” guys reluctant to stand up until too late. Step up and be a leader or get ready to have a footprint on your face.

The foreign policy president done made a mess of things.
When do impeachment proceedings start for getting us into an illegal war? The left wanted to tar and feather Bush for going to war legally. Maybe it’s time we start our own version of The World Can’t Wait.

You know it’s sad but true.
I was starting a fire this weekend and used an old local newspaper from 2009 (believe me, I don’t buy that rag, they sometimes toss a free copy into my yard). The headlines blared (paraphrasing): “Fisker comes to Delaware” and the subtitle said stuff like “2500 jobs, $185 billion invested” etc etc.
Guess what, those good-paying Delaware jobs never materialized, they went to Finland or something. But do you think the paper would ever run a follow up on the front page asking where those jobs are and what happened to all that money? No, not as long as it might make Barky and Joe look bad.
And you gotta love how they call it an “investment.” As if it was ever intended to have some future payoff. If a Republican gave almost 200 billion dollars to a foreign corporation, heads would be exploding and they would be calling it corporate welfare.
