Source: Petraeus and woman who received threatening e-mails from Broadwell are just friends
The Kelleys spent Christmases in group settings with the Petraeus’ and visited them in Washington D.C. during, where Jill’s sister and her son live.
“It is very clear there was nothing going on other than friendship” between Kelley and Petraeus, the close friend told ABC News…
The affair between Gen. Petraeus and Broadwell, both of whom are married, began several months after his retirement from the army in August 2011 and ended four months ago, retired U.S. Army Col. Steve Boylan, who is a former Petraeus spokesperson, told ABC News.
“He hugely regrets what happened,” Boylan said. “He pretty much threw away the best job he ever had and put his family through something just too hard to describe.”

This is all so predictable. If I was reading this story in a book, I doubt I’d bother to finish it. This administration loves to put out corroborating details. By Wednesday we should be seeing a picture of Mr. and Mrs. Petreaus entering a retreat somewhere.

this is just too perfect….Particularly within the context of GEN McChrystal’s downfall. I hope smart folks start putting these things together, they appear to be related.

Dog gone it we settled this stuff back in the ’90′s. It doesn’t matter if a guy chased a little strange stuff on the side.His personal life didn’t interfere with his job. Maybe that only applied to the president. Or maybe just to Slick Willie?

Would you guys listen to yourselves? I mean – I hate Obama too, but do you really think you’re going to beat this guy with tinfoil theories that do nothing but distract from the issues?
Benghazi is the goal – so a little focus please. The truth will come out (very well probably told by DP himself). Let it unfold. If you have ANYTHING to worry about – it’s the GOP dropping this investigation and you should be VERY worried about that. If your leaders stay engaged – you’ll win this fight.
But not if you vomit up another “birther” line of reasoning. Sooo … it’s all up to you guys – but if you want anyone to take ya seriously …

It’s official that holder knew this since spring.
They probably had this info before they picked him as CIA head.

I think this affair started before he left the military , so he could be charged with it.

Damage control, they don’t want to piss off Broadwell, she knows to much.
Broadwell needs to protect her safety. I wouldn’t put anything by CIA/Obama to shut her up.

The story said the affair began after he retired and that was after he was picked for the CIA director job.
Keep up the tinfoil theories. After you’ve turned this into a non-sensical issue the GOP Ayatollahs will be more than happy to drop Benghazi like a hot potato.

This is how the Chicago machine works – they know they can get away with anything because you guys will come out with crazy theories that make our side look batshirt crazy – and then everyone laughs at us and forgets the main issue at hand.
