Jan Brewer: It’s time to scrap the electoral college
Brewer said the system where the president is chosen by electors and not the popular vote probably “served its purpose” when it was made part of the original U.S. Constitution.
“But it’s pretty disappointing when you think that just a few states really determine who’s been elected president,” the governor said. “And they get all the attention.”…
“I think the public, overwhelmingly from the people I’ve spoken to, they would like to know that their vote does count, and it was counted together with everybody else’s vote, that they were part of that win,” Brewer said.

What needs to happen is what is left of Republican in California, as their vote will never get any EV count just half the state red. So move to Texas and then when the census is done in 2020 the 55 California has will go to 34 and Texas will have 55 due to the population shift of millions of people.

Since our founders thought it a good idea to have just 2 senators from each state so that each state would have equal representation in the senate, how about each state having 1 vote based on the majority of their voters and electing the president by the majority of the states.
Then each state would have equal electoral weight.
