Senators: Petraeus will eventually testify about Libya
Though Petraeus is not expected to testify at the committee’s closed-door hearing next week, Chambliss said on ABC’s This Week that Petraeus’s testimony will likely happen later. “He’s trying to put his life back together right now and that’s what he needs to focus on,” Chambliss said.
Speaking on Fox News Sunday, Senator Dianne Feinstein, the California Democrat who chairs the committee, also said Petraeus would likely testify eventually.
Speaking on CBS’s Face the Nation, Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., who has been among Republican senators loudly urging hearings on Benghazi, called it “absolutely essential.”

I have no clue what dp wife will do to get their life back together, but IF Hubby pulled a stunt like that on me, he would have a restraining order so he couldn’t get within five miles of me! Then my lawyer would contact him!

If he was under oath the last itme he testified, then he may have committed perjury, because he blamed it on the video, IIRC, and the evidence was a already apparently in the CIA that the video had nothing to do with it. What a waste. He threw it all away for a bimbo.

I looked up the area on the State Department website. It only lists the upper management of the Military Liaison area. The Associated Press report of course doesn’t name names…yet.

Why did he publically disclose the affair instead of just claiming “personal reasons”?
Why did he resign at all? Almost no one cares if our leaders are having affairs.
It sounds to me like Obama was using knowledge of the affair to blackmail Patraeus into giving favorable testimony on Benghazi, and it sounds like Patraeus got tired of being used. Now that he has publically confessed the affair and resigned, he is free to give any testimony he wants. That seems like the simplest explination. I sure hope it is the case.

I hope that’s the case. K.T. McFarland (on Jeanine Pirro’s show) said that he would have undergone an FBI investigation and taken a polygraph (CIA) prior to confirmation hearings and that the information would have gone to the WH personnel office. Could DP lie well enough about the affair to pass the polygraph?
Someone must have known because K.T. also said the the affair was widely rumored certainly when she visited with DP in Afghanistan.
One more interesting thing from the interview….. K.T. said that DP would most likely be required to submit his testimony to the WH before appearing before Congress, and it may be that the WH didn’t like what DP had to say. Now he’s a free agent and hopefully will tell Congress the truth about Benghazi.
