Sharrukin, ok, but we must rethink his entire handling of Iraq because he cheated. I’m not defending the guy, but I’d like some reporting. I’m tired of these articles.

I think the argument could be made that Petraeus was a manufactured hero. This reporter he was sleeping with was one of his promoters and there were others as well such as the author of this piece.

The question is can we go back and take a hard look at what Petraeus did that makes him so special and if the answer is nothing, then we learn from that. We saw the same thing with Obama in 2008 on the left, and Romney after the Republican primaries in 2012. We discovered after the fact the painful reality that they were not what the brochures promised.

How are the two things related? We can all peculate, but the personal and professional errors of judgment have yet to be tied together.

The guy in charge of the CIA let his personal E-mail be used by a reporter he was banging, and that had to be brought to light by an FBI investigation. I would say they are tied together.

Thesis: Petraeus cheated on his wife thus demonstrating how everything I wrote about him was not critical enough.

How are the two things related? We can all peculate, but the personal and professional errors of judgment have yet to be tied together.

How about less introspective garbage and more actual reporting? I forget myself. Reporting costs money and is hard. Carry on then. Hot Air custodians included.

I haven’t been impressed by him for a minute. Paying Muslims to kill Muslims and then cupping and protecting the nutsack of Islam lovingly was hardly something to admire.

Um, you’ve had 4+ years and his name is Obama. You don’t seem to be up to the challenge.

I expect the press to pile on Obama in about a year as lame-duckness starts settling in and as a way to try to salvage their reps.

As opposed to B.O. who is simply a “bringer of the light”.
