Did Broadwell know, and reveal, non-public info about the Benghazi attack?
Broadwell confirmed the reports on Fox News that the CIA annex asked for a special unit, the Commander in Chief’s In Extremis Force, to come and assist it. She also said that the force could indeed have reinforced the consulate, and that Petraeus knew all of this, but was not allowed to talk to the press because of his position in the CIA…
“They were requesting the – it’s called the C-in-C’s In Extremis Force – a group of Delta Force operators, our very, most talented guys we have in the military. They could have come and reinforced the consulate and the CIA annex. Now, I don’t know if a lot of you have heard this but the CIA annex had actually taken a couple of Libyan militia members prisoner, and they think that the attack on the consulate was an attempt to get these prisoners back. It’s still being vetted.
“The challenging thing for Gen. Petraeus is that in his new position, he’s not allowed to communicate with the press. So he’s known all of this – they had correspondence with the CIA station chief in Libya, within 24 hours they kind of knew what was happening.”

DP was playing a dangerous game of leaking with Obama.

The witch – she and her husband are Obamabots.

She didn’t mean to reveal anything. It just sorta slipped out from her pantyhose during her performance in The Vag!na Monologues.
Ladysmith CulchaVulcha on November 11, 2012 at 11:12 PM
So, is she this administration’s distraction and fall girl? Talk about War on Women.

You know, speaking of HotAir, since they take news stories from other places…..I was beginning to think the whole meme “if it was a republican, they’d do…” was being overworked, but this is a TEXT-BOOK EXAMPLE of it.
The news not only ignored Bengazi, but some groups worked to cover the damned thing up, but it’s been 24hrs and there have been so many articles written about the General it makes your head spin. Of course the readership is doing its part by keeping it hot and ignoring the hard stuff…
Durka-Durka on November 11, 2012 at 11:55 PM
Pictures of Libyan prisoners forming a naked human pyramid with bags on their heads will be the cherry on top of this farce.
WisCon on November 11, 2012 at 11:57 PM
And just who do you think is going to investigate Benghazi? The GOP has shown its not willing to do the job and the Obama administration certainly isn’t going to. This might actually make the media pay attention to something they have worked hard to ignore. A sex scandal will be reported on, while a dead ambassador isn’t headline material.

To answer the question: Yes.
Can the paramour of the D/CIA be a traitor for revealing confidential information (with spin, of course) — or is she a narcissistic, unwitting whistle blower (i.e., a Leftie, but I repeat myself)? Or perhaps a blower of another kind?
Good thing the guardian of the free press — the LSM — was all over it after no doubt being immediately so informed … oh, wait!
ShainS on November 12, 2012 at 12:15 AM
How often have you heard the word “Bengazi” while reading reports on the general?
Durka-Durka on November 12, 2012 at 12:20 AM
More often now than previously. The media has been ignoring it and now they really cannot do that. They are intent on covering the tabloid angle, but the more serious angle will also be covered even if for no better reason than too many reporters desperately chasing a story looking for a new angle to get in print.

She is all 3.
Schadenfreude on November 12, 2012 at 12:33 AM
Well, this gets messier by the day, doesn’t it?
So Broadwell was out talking at the University of Denver (?) bemoaning the “political aspects” of the “investigation” (?!) shooting her mouth off that the CIA annex was holding Libyan prisoners(?!?), and that the CIA personnel at the annex had requested Delta Force to, I assume, come to the aid of the security personnel at the consulate (?!?!).
OK……
Was all of this really under control of the CIA, or what the hell was going on?
Dreadnought on November 12, 2012 at 12:43 AM
He’s not the only one. They’re all ticked off at Obama over there. Can you blame them? Bizarre.
Dreadnought on November 12, 2012 at 12:45 AM
Fox is just now reporting some new stuff. The woman who was threatened did not work for State–she’s a friend of the Petraeus family. It’s also not completely clear that Broadwell is the one who sent the threats. Strange.
juliesa on November 12, 2012 at 1:08 AM
Btw, I read an article by Michael Hastings today on Huffpo. He’s the guy who got McKrystal fired. He says some really awful things about Petraeus.
juliesa on November 12, 2012 at 1:11 AM
And the story evolves…
the_nile on November 12, 2012 at 1:15 AM
So, why don’t they just subpoena Broadwell and the Other Woman to testify at the Benghazi investigations right away, even before dragging Hilary and Petraeus in for their turns? Do the republicans have the stones to do this?
Imagine how many conflicting lies told under oath they’ll all tell investigators. You think any of them will still want to shield Obama with their own butts on the line?
I sure hope President Biden is ready for office on Day 1!!

Looks like we’ve found Deep Throat in this whole Benghazi affair…..
badump tss……

No, what’d he say?
conservative pilgrim on November 12, 2012 at 7:02 AM
I don’t know anything about Hastings, but he clearly has an ax to grind with Petraeus. Too bad he doesn’t write a similar “exposé” on Obama. But they’re on the same D team, so doubtful.
conservative pilgrim on November 12, 2012 at 7:23 AM
Too bad Petraeus never gave a political affiliation, it could have made the MSM’s job so much easier.
Cindy Munford on November 12, 2012 at 7:37 AM
He basically said that the FBI investigating CIA was B.S., not protocol and that any peculiarities should have gone through the National Security Advisor. Shoot, at this point who says it didn’t? After it’s all over the only person who will have been in the dark about this investigation will be Obama.
Cindy Munford on November 12, 2012 at 7:40 AM
Indeed. At this point, Petraeus appears to be the fall guy for Benghazi. He was too busy with the mistress and dropped the ball…..
Thanks. Obama never knows, apparently, until he should know what he didn’t know.
conservative pilgrim on November 12, 2012 at 7:58 AM
If I understand correctly, she is a retired officer.
Why are we not referring to her as Major Broadwell?
connertown on November 12, 2012 at 9:48 AM
As news items go, Benghazi was a military failure that resulted in four deaths.
The Patreaus story involves illicit sex with a nice looking woman. Military sex between officers.
Man, I hate to defend the press, but one of those stories will sell a LOT more ads than the other.
It has nothing to do with which one is more important. It has to do with the interest an attention span of the average American. Terribly sad, but true.
connertown on November 12, 2012 at 9:56 AM
This is the exact reason this has all been engineered.
How many folks close to Obama over the last 10 years have been thrown under the bus to save his ass?
This BHO guy repudiated his own Reverend. How anyone trusted him after that is beyond me.
