Rumor of the day: Jon Huntsman for Secretary of State?
Officials, however, are pointing to Jon Huntsman, the former Utah governor, Obama’s ambassador to China and Republican presidential candidate, and the State Department’s current No. 2, William Burns.
Huntsman is still widely respected by the administration even if he’d hoped to unseat Obama. Choosing Huntsman would allow the president to claim bipartisanship while putting an Asia expert in the job at a time when the U.S. is focusing more attention on the world’s most populous continent.

I hear that the CIA is looking for a new director…
Maybe he can tell our operatives about the trust deficit!

I’m finding it difficult to care, even just a little, who staffs this administration. What will be, will be regardless of the body in the chair.

How about Jesse Ventura?

Ohh.. John Kerry hardest hit. I thought that the Obama administration hated Huntsman because he basically used them to get foreign policy experience and then bolted. Of course, they basically gave him the ambassadorship to make sure he didn’t run in 2012 because they were weirdly under the impression that he was a threatening candidate.. M’kay, Marco Rubio is already the nominee for 2016 apparently, so please take Huntsman. Of course, you could always make your new boyfriend Christie the Secretary of Bullying because you think that he might get the nomination.

Probably as reward for this.

Proof that Hank Huntsman’s campaign for the GOP nomination was probably an Obama black-bag psyops. Dude probably would’ve taken an utter dive in the general, had he somehow been nominated.

Whenever Pelosi gets around to investigating whether Bush knocked down the Twin Towers all by his little lonesome, I think we’ve found our committee chairman.

Apparently the real President Jarret wants a beard SoS for BHO, a distraction from their real program.
Valerie didn’t send Huntsman to meet with the Iranians, she sent Valerie.

They can have him.

Although they have never been seen in the same room, they have issued tweets at the exact same time. So there is some doubt.
Difficultas_Est_Imperium on November 10, 2012 at 9:18 PM
But, obama-super-fan Chris Christie has A LOT more to offer, AND he comes with his own supply of donuts.

I’m shocked I get to be first making the joke that Obama should appoint Jon Huntsman to the newly created Secretary of Business position.

I thought it was Bif Huntsman..?
d1carter on November 10, 2012 at 9:36 PM
Maynard Huntsman would be perfect for the job. Perfection is his middle name and the name of that town in the movie “Tremors”.
ahlaphus on November 10, 2012 at 9:39 PM
Huntsman sucks, so, sure, why not?
theperfecteconomist on November 11, 2012 at 1:04 AM
During the campaign, after Romney had secured the nomination, Huntsman appeared on MSNBC, I think it was the Morning Joe show, and if I did not know better, I would have thought he was a Dem spokesman.
