Right but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try to get more Hispanic votes. Like I said most of the Hispanic population is young…….Lord knows that young people change their minds.

So many differences. Like I said when I lived moved Virginia Beach for two years I went into culture shock. I don’t know how to explain it….it’s just different.

This brings up another issue with the Hispanic vote. I hadn’t heard that Hispanics support gay marriage in large numbers but now that I think about it….I’m not all that surprised. The Hispanic population is mostly young. Young people favor gay marriage in large numbers.

Fair enough. I’ve seen some data posted, both at NRO and Ace that Latinos are not single issue voters on immigration, rather big government ecomonics are a bigger issue. They are even liberal on gay marriage. I’m not sure a different stance would have made that big a difference. Obama could always outbid us on these things.

Taking Rick Perry out isn’t the main issue, its that Romney screwed himself in the general when he didn’t have to.

I can see where that appeals to first generation Hispanics but there are plenty of Hispanics who don’t need English classes. And actually we already have tons of ESL programs.

Republicans have to beat the Democrats at their own game and learn the art of coalition building.

First, the GOP needs to go out of its way and bring in Latinos with policy that promotes better education, healthcare, etc. etc. etc. at the expense of some other crucial Democrat constituency.

Why pay for abortions/contraception when that money could be used to help pay for English classes and better educational opportunities for Latinos which will create prosperity and lift boats? Why should predominately Latino cities be denied opportunities to pay for the failing schools of other “less diverse” cities? Why do Democrats hate the church, Christ, and the Holy Father? Hmmm? What’s with the Left’s attack on Navidad?

Helping to build and empower a Latino middle class with an allied GOP-voting middle class is a great way to destroy the poverty pimps on the Left and their serfdoms of poor people.

Mitt Romney did not take Rick Perry out. Rick Perry did that all by himself. And it wasn’t his stance of immigration, it was his rank incompetence at the debates.
