Mitch McConnell’s 2014 challenger could be …Ashley Judd?
Actress Ashley Judd’s name is being thrown out as a Democratic challenger to Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) in 2014. …
“If you had an Ashley Judd-McConnell race, I think it would be as high profile a race as Elizabeth Warren and Scott Brown,” Yarmuth said in an interview with the Courier-Journal of Kentucky, referring to the Massachusetts Senate candidates.
Judd has been active in Democratic politics. She was a delegate at the Democratic National Committee and also taped campaign ads for President Obama.

Lord that woman is a sanctimonious creep. She must be insufferable to be around.

She’s every bit as qualified to be a senator as Obama is to be president. Oh – wait…
Dopenstrange on November 9, 2012 at 12:02 AM
This is a godsend for McConnell and the GOP. A high profile race, as this would be, could be used as a national teaching lesson on liberal idiocy. She would be the Christine O’Donnell of the Democrats.

Al Franken got elected.
lorien1973 on November 9, 2012 at 12:16 AM
Kentucky ain’t Minnesota.

Democrats elect real morons all the time. Warren, Boxer, Feinstein, Reid, McCaskill
El_Terrible on November 9, 2012 at 12:47 AM
Boxer…such bad memories.
Still, Judd is worse and is running in a tougher state.
Robert_Paulson on November 9, 2012 at 12:57 AM
It’s Kentucky. I doubt abortion and pills as the only campaign platform items will play well.
Marcus on November 9, 2012 at 1:19 AM
We’ll just reveal her DV murder conviction. They made a movie out of it and let her play herself.
platypus on November 9, 2012 at 1:25 AM
You forgot the plank in her platform about being outrageously outraged over shooting wolves from helicopters.
On second thought, that probably won’t get much traction in Kentucky either.
NoLeftTurn on November 9, 2012 at 2:00 AM
Didn’t she do a long stint in a hospital for mental illness a few years ago? That plus the fact she has never really had a job in her life or any political experience at all.
Blake on November 9, 2012 at 2:37 AM
We know she’s a Democrat.
What point are you trying to make here?
Seriously if Al Franken, Hank Johnson (Guam tipping over) and the fake Indian Princess can win then why not Ashley Judd?
sharrukin on November 9, 2012 at 2:40 AM
Who is floating this ridiculous story? Take a look at her wiki page:
In February 2006, Judd entered a program at Shades of Hope Treatment Center in Buffalo Gap, Texas and stayed for 47 days.[19] She was there because of personal issues, including depression, insomnia and codependency.[20]
The couple divide their time between a home in Scotland and their farm outside Franklin, Tennessee, USA. They have no children. In her book she said this is because she considers it “unconscionable to breed.”

I think she needs to go back into a hospital if she is seriously considering running.

Mitch seems like a nice guy, but must we have a 70 year old lifetime politician in there? Republicans b!tch and moan abou term limits then we keep electing the same people over and over again. I hope there are some younger, capable people who can enter the race.
Dongemaharu on November 9, 2012 at 4:45 AM
Considering the fact that we now have a majority in this country who are dead from the neck up, I would have to say that she has a very good shot at winning the seat.
America, I have no more tears to weep.
Rixon on November 9, 2012 at 5:29 AM
When you hear her blast Republicans, always remember that when she was a little girl she lived on the edge of poverty but by the time she was an adolescent she was part of a rich family. And given the demographics of country music, you damn well it was those Republicans she hates that bought her mom and sister’s records and attended their concerts.
radjah shelduck on November 9, 2012 at 6:51 AM
And you know what the worst part is?
She would crush him. It wouldn’t even be close.
Washington Nearsider on November 9, 2012 at 7:02 AM
I say more of this crap. If we’re going to live amongst idiots, let’s let it be in plain view with no pretense.
CycloneCDB on November 9, 2012 at 7:12 AM
Oh give me a break! She doesn’t even live in this country half the time. She refers to people as “breeders” and she is emotionally unstable.
And when are they going to fix the stupid HA log so it doesn’t cover the damn post button?
Blake on November 9, 2012 at 7:15 AM
Well, that proves she’s qualified.
tru2tx on November 9, 2012 at 7:30 AM
If that’s what it takes to retire Mitch, so be it. I’d rather see a conservative primary him.
AH_C on November 9, 2012 at 7:46 AM
She’s talked about the “coal industry operated, rape of Appalachia.” I highly doubt she’ll win in Kentucky while attacking coal.
topdawg on November 9, 2012 at 8:24 AM
She should definitely win. It would be a high profile embarrassing failure.
CorporatePiggy on November 9, 2012 at 8:38 AM
Run not win (!).
CorporatePiggy on November 9, 2012 at 8:38 AM
Except she’d win.
Perhaps you’d not noticed all the morons reelected by libtards Tuesday?
roy_batty on November 9, 2012 at 8:40 AM
People who voted for Rand Paul will vote for Ashley Judd?
