What’s next for Romney?
Now that his own political hopes have been snuffed, many of the people closest to Romney say they have no idea what he’ll do next. Senior adviser Eric Fehrnstrom, who has been by Romney’s side for over a decade, said he hadn’t given much thought to what the former governor’s next move will be.
“I think he wants to spend a lot of time with his grandkids,” Fehrnstrom said shortly after Romney concluded his brief concession speech here. “There was one point in the night when the results were still coming in, and he turned off the TV to play with his grandkids.”…
As a sea of disappointed supporters digested the results here at Romney campaign headquarters, the only consensus about the nominee’s future was that no one would hazard more than a guess about what it might entail.
One longtime aide who traveled frequently with Romney during the campaign predicted that he might work with some of his sons in their various business ventures, participate in nonprofit causes, or write a book related to his experiences touring America on the campaign trail.

Probably going to go on a speaking tour, to a door knocker near you. LOL..
Sorry, just had to. Yeah I’m a bigotted jerk, but at least I voted for the b@stard unlike many Catholics and Evangelicals.

He’ll continue to do what he’s always done: try to make a difference in other’s lives. You might not have won, but God has other plans for you. You fought as hard as you could and I could not be more proud. Best of luck in whatever you do next, Mr. Romney.

Maybe he can serve as an economic advisor to the president whom he see’s nice guy who just got wrong advice and help him fix the economy.

Try to get the nomination in 2016, and probably succeed because most Republican primary voters are senile morons.

Mitt don’t accept an ambassador position from Obama. It’s a trap!

I wouldn’t be surprised if he did just that.

Romney signals all of the Mittbots to return to home. They all fondly reminisce one last time about how Mitt turned around the Salt Lake City Olympics, and then Mitt straps all of them to the roof of his private spaceship and blasts off into the night sky, headed for a far-away a galaxy, in search of a new planet on which he can run for President.
The End … ?
Lawdawg86 on November 7, 2012 at 9:41 PM
Who cares? I care. Mitt Romney was one of the most decent men to ever run for President. I’m proud of him and wish him the best. He, and America, deserved better.
SAZMD on November 7, 2012 at 9:44 PM
Mitt Romney was a political kite in the wind, but as a man, he is totally honorable. I think mormonism is heresey, but aside from that squabble, I admire his charity and humility, and dedication to his family.

He becomes a news show talking head, loses his spot on news show, stays relevant by offering to opine on everything, and years from now accepts accolades from a dwindling cadre of true believers who can’t quite give up the dream?

Mitt will do what he’s always done. Work hard, play hard and bring rewards to those with whom he works and joy to his family. He didn’t need to be POTUS to have a very good and productive life. The loss is more ours than his.
And the nasty comments from this site’s worst losers is predictable.
Basilsbest on November 7, 2012 at 9:57 PM
At least Romney was smart enough to turn off the televised results after losing became obvious.

It would be nice if he continued to explain exactly what policies of the President lead to each disaster as they happen. Someone has to, and as the last Republican nominee the media will grant him attention (for basically the same reason we respond to trolls).
Don’t laugh, people. Buyer’s remorse isn’t far away, and Mitt is the X in “we could have elected X.”
HitNRun on November 7, 2012 at 10:07 PM
Yeah, but those true-believers haven’t witnessed a catastrophic loss with their hero/ine at the head of some alleged sure-fire lead-pipe-cinch presidential ticket, so yeah, I guess they can still dream a bit.

Quoted for TRUTH. Godspeed to Mitt Romney, a man of decency and great ability. I was very proud to vote for you.

Rombo will continue his best to keep a spotlight shining on him, making an appearance now and again to accept obsequious fawning from deluded true believers who shout “Come back! We still believe you would have beaten Barky like a stray dog! Seriously! All 50 of us will push you over the finish line!”
Bishop on November 7, 2012 at 10:26 PM
Nah, I think he needs to write a few multi-volume works on foreign policy and quantum physics so that then that nasty public image of him will be erased and he can return tanned, rested and ready for the 2016 campaign. He has the infrastructure and everything and indies love him.

Quietly retire, write an autobiography.
I really grew to like Mitt over the course of the campaign, but he lost, and with how effectively That One “defined” him this year, he’d only do worse next time.

I love how Mitt is such a class act but the Hot Gas tools here just dump crap all over him. Unreal.
SuperBunny on November 7, 2012 at 11:35 PM
Are you f**king kidding? Romney participated in protests in FAVOR of the Vietnam War, while himself seeking SIX draft deferments and using them to go spend 2 years living in France…arguing with the French about the merits of the Vietnam War, which he continued to vocally support.
A draft dodger who LOVES the war he himself is dodging. If that doesn’t make you a dishonorable cowardly piece-of-sh**, I don’t know what does.
And Romney got traunced despite most of the public not even KNOWING this fact.
