ObamaCare survives. Now what?
“We’ll have a real-world test of the Affordable Care Act and whether employers accept it, whether the public accepts it,” said Drew Altman, president and chief executive officer of the Kaiser Family Foundation. “That will change the entire discussion about the Affordable Care Act, because up to this point, it really hasn’t been a discussion of what the Affordable Care Act really does.”…
If the price of health coverage in the exchanges is too high, for example, conservative critics expect a backlash.“I think people will be in for serious rate shock, especially in those individual markets that have been relatively lightly regulated,” said Douglas Holtz-Eakin, president of the American Action Forum…
One fight already under way centers on whether people will be able to get subsidies in health exchanges that are run by the feds, or only when the states themselves run them. There’s also a pending legal challenge from Liberty University against the requirement that would make most businesses with more than 50 workers provide health coverage or pay a fine. Liberty says that requirement is unconstitutional — and yes, it has vowed to fight all the way to the Supreme Court.

O-care is deeply flawed and the GOP house needs to REFUSE to make any adjustments to it to make it better. I believe the house has technically repealed O-Care right? Okay then, when a problem comes up they just say – “we already fixed that problem by repealing the whole law – go see Reid.”
That’s what they should do – use ObamaCare as a crucible to get voters to go GOP next time. Hey, the Dims own that lock stock and barrel.
They will own the problems too.
But Boehner – if he remains in charge – will compromise

Yeah, cuz that worked out great last time we went before the Supreme Court. BTW, this will be one of the disastrous unintended consequences of Obamacare. This along with the incentive to use part-time workers will cripple the economy.

Someone on one of the threads last night said his employees would be getting pink slips today. Going Galt, shutting ‘er down because of ObamaCare. I’m sure there will be a lot of that. The part-time thing has already impacted a lot of people in Vegas. (And they still don’t get it.)

Would this be the time to point out that – ObamaCare wouldn’t be alive today if not for G.W. Bush appointing Roberts to the SCOTUS?
HondaV65 on November 7, 2012 at 5:01 PM
Obamacare is still unconstitutional, the GOP has 30 governorships, and almost as many state legislatures.
NOW is the time to resurrect federalism and tell the federal government that unconstitutional legislation will be declared null and void.
When the states ratified the Constitution they didn’t agree to subordination to the federal government. It’s time to push states to seize back powers usurped by the federal government over the course of the last 100 years.

My Doc already sold his practice to a Health Care Conglomerate and I recieved a nice GFY letter telling me that my family and I are no longer being seen due to the fact that they do not take my insurance. Retired Military TRICARE Prime.
Love my Doc, He saw what was coming and wanted no part of it. I don’t blame him I blame teh one and Ocare.
D-fusit on November 7, 2012 at 5:09 PM
MT passed a ref last night that neither the state nor feds could force an individual to buy health insurance. How is obamacare going to deal with that?
