“That’s when you know you’re gonna win”
Mitt Romney walked out of his campaign jet at Pittsburgh International Airport here Tuesday afternoon and was met by an unexpected sight: hundreds upon hundreds of supporters packed into the top and middle levels of a nearby parking garage, cheering the candidate’s arrival.
A visibly moved Romney, clad in a white shirt and slacks, stepped into the late afternoon sun and walked across the tarmac to a spot near a metal fence separating him from the supporters in the garage…
“That’s when you know you’re gonna win,” he said as he walked back across the tarmac and into an SUV that carried him off to his second stop of the day.

Oh! Please, Please, Please!!! I will hate it more for him than for myself if he were to lose- he’s such a nice man!

Or the parking garage gate was stuck.

Know how else you know?
When DAN RATHER says “it’s gonna be a good day for Romney.”
Washington Nearsider on November 6, 2012 at 4:56 PM
in all honesty, if he loses i’ll be crushed. i’ve tried to remain detached, but i’m an emotionsl wreck. this is excrutating.

It would be so great if Romney won.

Can’t be. The other side says he’s panicking.
SoFlaCon on November 6, 2012 at 4:58 PM
I read this earlier and I think a lot of people are underestimating the significance of this. Dan rather is still very connected on the left and with the news people. Dan “fake but true” Rather still has access to the inside information.
I think this is Dan trying to regain some street cred back with the common folk by making this prediction.

Romney will win, and will win BIG!
God bless un God bless our First Lady Ann Romeney!

Doesn’t matter NJ was never in the EV equation for Mitt
Skwor on November 6, 2012 at 5:00 PM
Oh my. Maybe Dan is getting more lucid with old age. Pretty powerful stuff coming from him.
salem on November 6, 2012 at 5:00 PM
I actually expected (in my non-eeyorish moments) to see much much more of this from the media.
Washington Nearsider on November 6, 2012 at 5:01 PM
I haven’t felt this way since 1980.
Good times.

Love of country will be the icing on the cake.
Revenge will go to HI.

Wonderful! I’m trying to stay calm, but I think he’s going to do it!
Another sign Romney is going to win… one of my most liberal friends on Facebook (continued to hurl insults at Bush and Cheney for nearly 2 years after Obama was sworn in) posted this… “At the end of today (assuming there’s not a repeat of 2000), I will not gloat. I will not bemoan. I will simply be glad that this election and campaign ads will be over. My hope is that my FB friends–regardless of political affiliation–would do the same, but it’s doubtful.” He knows.

Ann Romney would be the awesome-est First Lady ever.
Paul-Cincy on November 6, 2012 at 5:12 PM
We can do it. We can win.
JeremiahJohnson on November 6, 2012 at 5:16 PM
I sure hope so.

DrW, I agree. This is the most anxious election in my life. This is probably our last chance to right the ship of state.
And isn’t it about time the MSM started calling Romney a “rock star”? Did people stand in parking lots waiting for The One?

Fantastic. Do you think Romney will win Bucks? I’m guessing he will – and cut the margin alot in Montgomery and Delaware. Win Chester by a good amount too.

I think so, my whole area is covered with romney/ryan signs…and the school where we vote…all r/r… Tom Smith and local republicans like Mike Fitzpatrick…
SHARPTOOTH on November 6, 2012 at 5:23 PM
Gosh, it would be wonderful to have a man and his wife who loves and respects our nation as president and first lady? We have had none from what we now have now in Our House for four years!
My little blood pumper is all a twitter for the results tonght. Only One will give the final go ahead it is to be so. And I, and I feel millions have asked it IT is to be so.

Exactly. The media do not like what they see, trying to figure out how to spin it.

Another totally unscientific but extremely fun indicator is what is happening on the NBC-based NFL site I frequent, which is usually scrubbed clean of all politics by both contributors and commenters alike. Completely at random and 2 days after the game itself, the lead guy posted this amazing freakout about the “Redskins Rule” and how it is meaningless, totally meaningless you fools. Check out how the comments section is running, particularly the updings/downdings for the few Obama supporters.

FWIW. I heard the same thing on Fox, but they said the Friday extension was only for local races. Said that by law, voting for President has to finish by midnight at latest.
But then, law means little to this regime.
marybel on November 6, 2012 at 5:54 PM
Northern Bucks County is coming out strong for GOP (this is a bellweather)
Western PA is turning out in historic numbers for a Presidential – remember this is coal country. They are not voting for Obama

Meant to put above in quote

When you read article after article about how compromise is good, our elected officials need to be less partisan, and (oldies-but-goodies) reaching across the aisle.
RedCrow on November 6, 2012 at 6:03 PM
The man’s going to have a lot of pressure put upon him. Some of our doing, some of his own. I hope he’s up for it and I hope it doesn’t kill him. Godspeed to him.

Strange to have a touching Romney vignette in WAPO
The comments following the article are filled with venom. If they were more confident, they would be laughing. I smell fear
