I’ve given up on this franchise because the first two films disappointed me in failing to capture the hard R action feel of those classic 80s flicks. Both looked like PG-13 movies later converted in edit to an R rating (and according to what I’ve read, both were filmed as PG-13 initially).

If Ford does sign on then I’ll see it in theaters considering it will most likely be his last action film, but otherwise I’m not very hyped. Maybe they’ll get it right with the third and film it as an R film with an actual plot, but this franchise had so much more potential.

This thing is gonna get the fantasia treatment. New release every decade for a 100 years then a merciful killing.
