“Harrison is open to the idea of doing the movie and he’s upbeat about it”
While Ford has spoken fondly of the characters he has played, such as Dr Richard Kimble in “The Fugitive”, he was not so fond of Solo.
“As a character he was not so interesting to me,” he said in an interview two years ago.

I’ve given up on this franchise because the first two films disappointed me in failing to capture the hard R action feel of those classic 80s flicks. Both looked like PG-13 movies later converted in edit to an R rating (and according to what I’ve read, both were filmed as PG-13 initially).
If Ford does sign on then I’ll see it in theaters considering it will most likely be his last action film, but otherwise I’m not very hyped. Maybe they’ll get it right with the third and film it as an R film with an actual plot, but this franchise had so much more potential.

whoah, I had just read an article on The Expendables 3 at another site and confused this headline with that movie where they are trying to sign Harrison Ford. LOL, never mind.
