Election overtime: A winless Wednesday?
Between the possibility of recounts, provisional ballot problems and lawsuits, there’s no shortage of scary vote-counting scenarios that threaten to push the election outcome beyond Nov. 6.
Most of the scenarios, of course, are contingent on a tight race where the result comes down to one, or just a few highly competitive states. And that’s exactly the election the polls are suggesting. …
Recounts
The rules and thresholds differ from state to state, but if the difference between President Barack Obama and Mitt Romney is 0.5 percent in any one of them, that tends to be recount territory.
It’s a minuscule figure, which is why there are so few actual statewide recounts. But Virginia, according to its RealClearPolitics polling average, is within currently within its recount window, and Florida is just a one percentage point outside its own.

No ballots better be turning up in donk cars a month after the election. What a joke!

I expect recount, lawsuit, recount, lawsuit repeat until BO wins or Mitt concedes for the good of the country. Then we will a disgusting four years of MSM meme of how the system works perfectly. Unlike when Bush was installed and recounts stopped by the SC.

Please oh please let the race be outside the MOF…

The joke was that the repubs didn’t bring it to the SCOUS. Once the ballots fell out of the proper transfer chain they should not be counted. I don’t care what party they are for they are invalid ballots.

wHEN Bark loses he will immediately issue an EO declaring the Gaza Strip to be part of the U.S. and that their votes must be included.

When in the 1968 election there was dubious counting going on in the Chicago machine that cost Nixon the election, he didn’t contest it as he feared “it would tear the nation apart.”
Compare that to Milhous II of Goracle, who would have litigated his way into a second civil war if the Supreme Court hadn’t stepped in, and Milhous III of Kenya, who will probably just skip the litigation and call for civil war if the election is close.

Linking to Politico’s fear column again? I’m shocked.
conservative pilgrim on November 6, 2012 at 8:23 AM
I don’t think so. This is wishful thinking on behalf of the Politico. Only real question left is whether they’re going to create a “living diary of the Romney presidency.”
Red Cloud on November 6, 2012 at 8:23 AM
I hope Politico joins Obama and disappears…….Buh bye!

The local GOP committeewoman on that said something like, “Well, I’ve known that Dem for years, so I know she wouldn’t do anything wrong. She must have just forgotten those ballots.”
The GOP and Coleman played Minnesota Nice to the point of stupidity. And Coleman had utterly imcompetent lawyers who knew nothing of election law.

What about the bigger problem?
Diaper shortages at MSNBC tonight.

Since RCP is including crap polls like Marist and Purple Strategies, I think it’s safe to say that those numbers are likely not as close as they appear to be…

Except Nixon won in 1968. It was 1960 you’re thinking of.
adurb44 on November 6, 2012 at 8:31 AM
Well the results are already in from two small NH towns and in one it was a historic tie and the other BO won. If I were BO I’d demand a recount in the tie.

It’s best to simply ignore the fear porn articles and links today, as they have no basis in fact.

Does anyone here want to hear Chris Matthews opinion on the election today, I sure as hell don’t.
