What to expect from the left if Obama loses
Attributing an Obama defeat to racism, though, is a weak charge because he is, after all, the incumbent—and so his defenders will need to bolster the America the Pathological diagnosis. That’s where a larger conspiracy would come in: The Supreme Court’s 2010 Citizens United decision handed the levers of power to plutocrats like the Koch brothers and Sheldon Adelson.
“Is a ‘Citizens United’ Democracy a Democracy at All?” asked Katrina vanden Heuvel of the Nation recently. Team Obama already has suggested that the election was being bought. “You’ve got a few very wealthy people lining up trying to purchase the White House for Mr. Romney,” said senior White House adviser David Plouffe in October. Added campaign strategist David Axelrod: “They are trying to buy this election.”…
Which brings us to the indictment that could ring loudest of all if Mr. Romney wins: America is ungovernable, democracy not up to the challenge. The United States is “a nation of dodos . . . too dumb to thrive,” Time magazine’s Joe Klein wrote in 2010, after opinion surveys showed the public insufficiently impressed by Mr. Obama’s economic stewardship. Days later, in a column called “Down With the People,” Slate’s Mr. Weisberg wrote that “what may be the biggest culprit in our current predicament [is] the childishness, ignorance, and growing incoherence of the public at large.”
This is familiar territory for progressives.

Just wait until Romney throws out Roe V. Wade and bans contraception and homosexuality.

That’s one thing I don’t understand about rioting / looting – they always seem to do it in their own neighborhoods and they are only hurting themselves. If Romney wins, why not riot in Texas or Florida somewhere, instead of D.C.?
Oh, wait – Floridians and Texans are armed. The residents in D.C. are not. Stupid idea – nevermind.
Timothy S. Carlson on November 5, 2012 at 3:23 PM
roger that. Here in the southside of Indy we are a rioter’s roach hotel. They may come in but they most assuredly would never, ever, come out. (at least not horizontally)

tommyboy on November 5, 2012 at 3:29 PM
They won’t ‘claim’ the economy is bad – it is bad. They will just start reporting the reality of the situation.
However, they _will_ try to blame the economy on Romney’s win. Everything that is wrong – and that they have not been reporting – will be blamed on Romney’s win.
Timothy S. Carlson on November 5, 2012 at 3:29 PM
It is a weak charge, but that’s never stopped them from making it. Racism is the default excuse for just about everything that doesn’t go the left’s way when it comes to the minorities on their plantation.
Citizen’s United will certainly come up, but it doesn’t have enough demagogic appeal for the left-wing simpletons to have any legs.
Another thing you’ll hear are frustrated screams directed at the American people for being so stupid. This will be followed by concern trolls blaming the internet, talk radio and Fox for manipulating all those commoners that the left has always held in contempt.

And suddenly the media will be very concerned about the “cost” of everything Ann Romney does and everything she wears.
TarheelBen on November 5, 2012 at 3:47 PM
I always thought they attacked those stores (yes, I have a mental image of a Korean storekeeper with a rifle trying to protect his store, from a TV report) because those stores _were_ in their neighborhood and they felt like the asians were encroaching on their opportunities.
Riots seem to have a big ‘locality and opportunity’ factor to them. Traveling to the source of their disdain/offense is usually prohibitive. In fact, most of the time no one really knows what they are rioting about – they just see everyone else doing it.

I’ll paraphrase what I heard from an old Boston hippie back in 08. “Obama is the best chance of having communism in my lifetime.”
The hard left will go completely bonkers with a BO loss and will do their best to egg on the useful idiots in the hopes of a violent upraising. Remember that one of BO’s friends said at least 25 million must die to herald in the utopia. The old commies just may push it because they so want it in their lifetimes.

Having lived in Los Angeles, I can confirm that Koreatown is pretty close to some of the black neighborhoods in south central LA, but not overlapping. A lot of latino people live in the neighborhoods in between. The mobs would have had to be fairly energetic to make it to Koreatown as that is at least a few miles north and west.

Yeah, since we’re just golden to them now.
Anyhow, conservatives don’t riot.
The reason rioters stay in their own hoods is they know that gun ownership is highly restricted there.
