What Obama really said in that “60 Minutes” video about Benghazi
Why did CBS release a clip that appeared to back up Obama’s claim in the second debate on Oct. 19, a few days before the foreign policy debate, and not release the rest of that interview at the beginning?
Why on the Sunday before the election, almost six weeks after the attack, at 6 p.m. does an obscure online timeline posted on CBS.com contain the additional “60 Minutes” interview material from Sept. 12?
Why wasn’t it news after the president said what he said in the second debate, knowing what they had in that “60 Minutes” tape — why didn’t they use it then? And why is it taking Fox News to spur other media organizations to take the Benghazi story seriously?
Whatever your politics, there are a lot of loose ends here, a lot of unanswered questions and a lot of strange political maneuvers that don’t add up.

Do these “journalist” get that they are being used? Or they put on knee pads for the Dem party?
How far the media has fallen. It’s hard to keep a Repubic going like this.

If he’s re-elected, Benghazigate will bring him down.

Released when everyone else is focused on the election?
I’m surprised they didn’t release it during the Sandy Hurricane.
Shameful.

Whatever he said, I don’t believe it.

Thank goodness for FOX News. They fill the void left by the obscenely partisan “alphabet” news outlets.

The legacy media is as much an enemy of America as the jihadists…we need to purge ourselves of both.

That’s what bothers me.
Whenever he’s in trouble, he creates a bigger distraction.
I’m guessing that what he’s planning with Jarrett and Iran.
He gets to claim success with Iran, which the press will carry for him, while nothing has really changed.

Spot on. It is their MO…
Release “unhelpful” news when attention turned is elsewhere; then, when the focus returns, claim it is “old” news.
Droopy on November 5, 2012 at 12:14 PM
OK. I searched for “cybhoa” and of the “about 54 results” only two were in English and both had your name on them.
What does “cybhoa” mean?
davidk on November 5, 2012 at 12:15 PM
Why? Seriously? If you don’t know why they do these things you have not be paying attention for the last 4 years.

To give the appearance of being fair journalists, even though it’s obvious they aren’t.

I am not certain that direct and covert negotiations with Iran by the WH inner circle is something that should be accepted as proper diplomacy.

This is because if Obama DOES lose, they can at least claim that they did something about it. Then again, most will see though that… I hope.

Come on, this is the same network and the same show that brought us the forged TANG memos in 2004. Dan Rather and mary Mapes lost their jobs over that, but the rest of the crew at 60 Minutes is still there and still working overtime to help the Democrat win the White House.
Putting this in a buried story online 2 days before the election is their way of saying “F— You, America, we held on to this until we knew it wouldn’t hurt Obama.”
rockmom on November 5, 2012 at 12:48 PM
Cheers for Bret Baier and FOX.
I simply cannot stand Obama. He was so smarmy during that exchange during the debate with Candy at his side helping him along. Not only CNN, but now there’s proof that CBS also wanted to set that meme. To help him coverup Benghazi was absolutely disgraceful.
I’m not saying this out of a desire to start a firestorm, but remember this is also the network that gave us an edited version of Couric’s interview with Sarah Palin.
CBS & the media in general campaign for the Democrats.

They subcontracted parsing, fact checking, and interpretation of “the rest of that interview” out to Dan Rather. He hasn’t gotten back to them and they thought it might look bad of they waited until after the election.
