Christie: That call from Springsteen made me weep
Speaking Monday at a briefing on storm recovery. Gov. Chris Christie revealed he unexpectedly spoke with Bruce Springsteen earlier in the day. Christie had been discussing storm-related matters with President Barack Obama when Obama handed the phone to Springsteen, who was traveling with him as part of a campaign trip.
Christie also said he got a hug from Springsteen at Friday’s benefit concert for victims of Superstorm Sandy. …
Christie says he wept at home after talking by phone to his idol, calling it a major highlight during a tough week.

Whew, what is that stink in this thread?

..if Romney gets elected, it’s gonna take some real ju-jitsu out of these folks to do that what with him being one of the more prominent early endorsers of Mitt. Would they be capable of that big of a stretch?
Wait, what am I saying?

This is the guy who gave our keynote address. No wonder we didn’t get any bounce.

Oh brother. I’m wondering if this phone call from The Boss was his payment for gushing about Obama a few days out from election when Mitt was ahead a few points. Karma will get Christie if this is the case. Obviously our eyes are open to what he is really about. He self promoted at the RNC and then the Obama is outstanding walking around with me for a photo op and now Springsteen (who is actively campaigning with O) made me cry. I will miss the Chris Christy porn where he told the over paid underworked teachers to get another job but that’s about it. Still its Jersey so they can keep him. They need someone who isn’t going to sell them to the unions a la Corzine. But frankly, if he costs us the election…he is filth.

Good grief. I know that many in the Hot Air community thank Christie is teh shiznit, but seriously? There’s no crying in managing a disaster as the chief executive of your state. You definitely don’t mention it later in public when it was something you did in private and you most definitely don’t mention it when you wept because you talked to a musician.
Cross this fat clown off any serious list for higher office. His performance in the wake of Superstorm Sandy, compared to the performance of Rudy in the wake of 9/11 or Jindal in the wake of Hurricane Gustav has been pathetic. Yeah, he’s been great standing up to the eeeeevil unions, but a real, physical crisis has hit and he’s flailing around, looking shell- shocked, and blubbering because he got a call from Bruce Springsteen? What would he do as POTUS when the crap hit the fan? Pathetic. Simply pathetic.
I’ll let Don Corleone finish him off.

Not anymore. Tubby lost much of his support in the Republican community with his nauseating praise of little Bammie. That’ll come back to bite him on his corpulent butt in any future election for any office.

Yeah, I guess if that doesn’t count:
1)putting his ‘emergency command center’ at the site of a previous terrorist attack (the WTC), an having to evacuate it within 30 mins of the attack
2) proposing that elections be unlawfully suspended in the wake of the attack
3)selecting Bernie Kerik to run Homeland Security. Bernie is now a convicted felon, and is in prison.
4)tolerating such dysfunction between the NYPD and the FDNY, that they couldn’t communicate by radio with each other on that day
5)letting the FDNY operate for months with new “digital” radios, which didn’t work properly. .leaving many firefighters to miss the order to evacuate.
Ask any fireman in NY what they think of Giuliani. He couldn’t be elected anything, of anywhere. Certainly not in NY.
As for Christie, you’re an idiot if you think his actions during Sandy have hurt him in NJ. Oh wait.. you are an idiot.
