Our retirement isn’t through SS but it is through the federal government, you don’t think they would change that in a heart beat? Don’t forget there was talk of taking people’s IRA’s and 401K’s, I think you are missing the big picture.

This just in, I wasn’t around during FDR’s time and Social Security has never been on the ballot. Now I like you but your moral absolutism is beyond stupid. Despite your assumed intellectual superiority, you are in the same damn boat as the rest of us, doing the best we can with what we have. I actually see little difference in your arguments and the dumbass liberals who are afraid they might have to wipe their own ass.

Every time there is an election, voters decide what the purpose of the upcoming government is. They then get a chance to hold those in government accountable by either voting for them again or firing them for failing to do your bidding. Since as you say, not one election has been about getting rid of social security, the blame lies on the voters.

Sorry, Frummie, there are those of us who will be doing our very best to remind President-Elect (Lord willing) Romney that we voted him into office to use that great business mind of his to put America back on a financially sound footing. That is the principle Tea Partiers adhere to. There’s nothing “stupid” or “selfish” about it.

Grasping at continued self imposed ignorance. It is the evil you are that requires this.

Just simply make the statement: I failed to vote into power politicians that would get rid of Social Security because I was told that I would get more money out of Social Security than I paid for other people’s benefits. I know the money being paid to me in old age is not my money, but is money being forcefully taken from others, and I am ok having them be my personal servants (read slave) to provide for my old age.

Go ahead, wrap your evil little mind around the reality of Social Security pig.
