Keeping more of my often-profane thoughts to myself these days, in hopes of self-improvement. But still looking forward to spending Tuesday evening here with you, my rabid friends.

Win or lose, perspective will be needed desperately. With victory would come great responsibility — to demand of this man Romney and his unknown cadre of appointees and managers many things: fiscal discipline, rigid ethics, great long-range vision, moral clarity, political ruthlessness.

And with defeat would come a great need for hard work as the loyal opposition — to become more active at the grass roots level; help recruit and develop better talent for local, state and national candidates; and to activate those who continue to ignore politics as unworthy of their efforts.

Don’t have cable but I’ve decided to spend the late evening at my all night gym – just so I can watch Chris Matthews melt down into a quivering blond puddle of goo, in real time. It will be soooo satisfying.

Wonder if they allow popcorn on the stationary bikes?
