Did you see on The Right Scoop the North Carolina Democrat stupid enough to have said he had voted four times in three different places (one spot he voted twice) and he was planning on voting election day? I’m sure officials know him, as hundreds have reported him to NC election officials.
Marcus on November 4, 2012 at 10:17 PM
It’s suppressing the fraudulent votes.
Othniel on November 4, 2012 at 10:17 PM
How is the suppression of fraud the equivalent of voter suppression?
I’ve never once heard an explanation.

Listening to numbnuts talking about how asking for a Photo ID for voting is such a hardship. Did a little research, and in about two minutes came up with a long list of things that, apparently, disenfranchised people are not doing, because they don’t have a Photo ID (which are free in most states.)
ROUTINE THINGS THAT REQUIRE A PHOTO ID:
Applying for welfare, food stamps, or other government assistance
Using an Electronic Benefits Transfer card, issued to welfare recipients
Obtaining medical care using Medicaid
Obtaining food from a local food pantry (Wisconsin)
Securing employment (eVerify List B requirement)
Obtaining a library card
Opening bank accounts, cash checks, etc.
Using a credit card, or returning items to the store for a refund
Entering most law enforcement, DHS government buildings
Picking up mail at the U.S. Postal Service
Purchasing public transportation passes
Purchasing, or “exchanging or refunding tickets” on Amtrak
Claiming lottery winnings
Applying for a marriage license
Serving as a Boy Scout leader or camp volunteer
Serving as a youth sports volunteer
Flying on a commercial airline flight
Getting a tattoo or body piercings
Entering a public dump or selling scrap metals like copper
Renting videos
Renting a car, U-Haul, or trailer
Applying for a building permit, public gathering permit, business license, hunting license
Registering a motor vehicle
Engaging in cash transactions of $5000 or more
Taking the SATs or ACTs
Claiming senior citizen exemption to additional 1% sales tax(South Carolina)
Purchasing tobacco products, purchase alcohol or enter a bar
Purchasing firearms or ammunition
Purchasing prescription medication
Purchasing over-the-counter cough syrup containing ephedrine, pseudoephedrine, and other methamphetamine precursors
Purchasing drain-cleaning products like Drano (Illinois)
Purchasing spray paint
Purchasing M-rated video games
Purchasing tickets to n movie rated NC-17, R, or X

Strangely enough they require ID in Europe to vote

Thread winner, IMHO!

…And a state issued photo id to get into the DNC.
batterup on November 4, 2012 at 10:33 PM
This is so fluking stupid. I have only voted in the last three elections and every time I was asked for an ID. I just assumed that how it was across the nation. The idea that someone in today’s America can’t get some form of ID is completely asinine to me and should be to anyone with a function brain. What I find most amazing is those who think people should have to prove that they are who they say they are in order to cast their ballot are somehow racist. It’s the left who is racist for assuming blacks are too stupid to get an ID.
But that’s just who the left is. Wake up black America. The democrat party hates you and thinks you’re fools! Wake up and prove them wrong! Stop blindly following their marching orders.
jawkneemusic on November 4, 2012 at 10:34 PM
You win.
CorporatePiggy on November 4, 2012 at 10:38 PM
Seriously, the failure of some people to actually take the time to get an ID that they have to use for so many things (
VastRightWingConspirator on November 4, 2012 at 10:23 PM) isn’t really believable.
Now voter fraud, on the other hand, has been repeatedly demonstrated in multiple jurisdictions.
ProfShadow on November 4, 2012 at 10:38 PM
You have to be naive to not believe that thousands of people who are not even citizens are voting in Ohio alone.
CW on November 4, 2012 at 10:40 PM
In Maryland, where ID is generally not required (there are exceptions), I always offer my photo ID just to tweak the election people. They say, Oh, we don’t require that.
Attila (Pillage Idiot) on November 4, 2012 at 10:40 PM
I am happy to say I’m being bombarded by Mitt Romney ads this time like I was with Bronco Bamma last time.
I like to listen to one and say, “I paid for that one. Oh, and that one too.”
hawkdriver on November 4, 2012 at 10:42 PM
Dems are all about suppressing the military vote to stop fraud.
Al Gore was so good at this he managed to get a recount in Florida, for the good of the nation.

If it’s too much gotdang trouble for you to get a photo ID then you’re probably not the kind of person who really cares about voting.
JohnBrown on November 4, 2012 at 10:54 PM
Suppressing and stopping voter fraud is the goal of voter ID laws…
Gohawgs on November 4, 2012 at 10:54 PM
Why don’t they issue ID cards when you register to vote? They know it’s you, they mail the card, problem solved. if they want to get fancy, give it an ID # too and match it up at the poll when you vote. No match, no vote!
tammyloc on November 4, 2012 at 10:56 PM
That’s a Big ol’ Yachtzee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It’s like I’ve been teleported to another layer of space/time and lost my mind at the same time.
It is the exact opposite of 2008 around here, and I love it. It renews my belief in my neighbors, my Commonwealth (VA) and my country and its citizens.
Now all we’ve got to do is eliminate or neutralize most of the cheating, suppress the dead-people vote, and with a little luck and a lot of prayer, we’re golden.
hillbillyjim on November 4, 2012 at 11:00 PM
I love how the pro-voter fraud crowd automatically link ID’s to race, as if white people would be exempt, or something.
Left Coast Right Mind on November 4, 2012 at 11:00 PM
I’m pretty sure that I spelled “Yahtzee” wrong in my post above.
Sorry ’bout that. I owe somebody a “c”.
hillbillyjim on November 4, 2012 at 11:01 PM
You also need a state issued ID to get your university ID so you can get in & out of your dorm. And at most dorms you can’t visit friends/family unless you let the dorm security hold onto your state issued ID.
So the whole university system in the US is racist.
batterup on November 4, 2012 at 11:10 PM
You can’t adopt a cat or dog from any of the rescue groups without a state issued ID.
People who rescue animals are racists.
batterup on November 4, 2012 at 11:11 PM
If you want to join a players club at a casino you have to show a state issued ID.
Casinos are racist.
batterup on November 4, 2012 at 11:17 PM
That would be Scrabble, not Yahtzee.
GWB on November 4, 2012 at 11:23 PM
If you do not have the wherewithal to:
a) get an ID
b) learn the native language
then you should not be allowed to vote.
Period.
WisCon on November 4, 2012 at 11:55 PM
We not only need voter ID, we need voting machines that aren’t programmed to give Obama the vote, no matter who you choose.
The Rogue Tomato on November 5, 2012 at 12:15 AM
yeah how come liberals aren’t asked about all these other things? also, what about obama requiring photo ID’s at some of his events??
Sachiko on November 5, 2012 at 12:43 AM
Another fake question from the liberals. This assumes that asking for an ID to vote amounts to “suppressing the vote”. Who is suppressed by having to prove who they are before they are allowed to vote?? How is that voter suppression? It’s not!! Unless you want to argue that preventing voter fraud is also voter suppression. I guess in that case it is, suppressing fraud is in fact, suppression, but if you don’t suppress fraudulent votes than why have an election at all?
Dollayo on November 5, 2012 at 4:58 AM
Stop suppressing the fraudulent votes you wingnuts!!!!

I agree with VastRightWingConspirator. Democrats are just fine with voter fraud. And, our current Attorney General wasn’t upset at all with the Black Panther’s behavior in Philidelphia in the 2008 election. But he used his power to tell South Carolina that our Voter ID law was not legal. The same law has been passed by a number of States that are not covered by the antiquated 1964 Voters Act.
