Benghazi: Stalling in hopes that the public will lose interest
1. Why did the State Department ignore repeated warnings that security at Benghazi was deficient?
2. Did operations centers in Washington receive or monitor requests for help during the attack on 9/11/12?
3. Did the president direct the military to use all means to save American lives?
4. If authorized to enter Libyan territory, why did the military not send a fighter aircraft overhead to frighten what the White House claimed was a mob? Why did the military not send an ad hoc rescue force from Sigonella Navy Base, while the CIA was sending six men as the rescue force from Tripoli, about equal distance from Benghazi? Is the U.S. military too rigid to do anything helpful during a seven-hour battle?
5. Why did the White House persist for weeks in spinning a false story about a mob enraged by a YouTube video, when no intelligence supported the story?

There is only one reason that the White House would allow themselves to sustain the political damage all this lying and spinning right at election time is causing them. The truth is even worse.

I hope Romney wins a decisive victory so that we can immediately start to lay what is clear to me as “dereliction of duty” by a commander and chief. Disgraceful and a sorry state of affairs this man has conducted and brought upon the highest office in the land.
Not to mention the lives sacrificed and the loss their families are going through.
Makes me want to spit nails…
I want them all strung up by their buster browns for this!

Worked for F&F…and selective DOJ interventions..and the takeover of Gm and the screwing of the secured bond holders in favor of unions gaining controlling shares..and the slimy way they shoved Obamacare down everyone’s throats..and the power given to czars..and single handedly declaring DOMA unconstitutional..and passing out $7500. of taxpayers money to subsidize a car no one wanted and your average person could not afford..etc..etc.
How many forgot those things and see them as not that important now?

it would be silly for romney to suddenly bring benghazi up now right before election day but i wish that he had been consistently talking about this ever since it happened. he tried to say something about it in one of the debates, but after that, he got scared to talk about it and ran away from the whole issue because he was afraid it would make him look bad. but the bottom line is, the american people need to know.
while it’s not going away, it’s not spreading either. a lot of americans are still uninformed about this and it’s been several weeks since it happened. (some people don’t know about this at all, and others know that an attack happened but have no idea about the obama administration’s messed-up response to it.) outside of fox news and conservative blogs, who else is talking about it? the msm covered it some, but they stopped. the msm isn’t doing their job, we all know that. they should be covering this A LOT MORE, but you know what? they’re not. and so, americans are uninformed. but, romney COULD have brought this up a lot more and then many more people would know about it. people would say he’s “politicizing the tragedy” but if he consistently explained the facts to people, for weeks, more people would start to understand what happened and stop falling for the left’s “politicizing the tragedy” narrative. thanks a lot romney for being afraid to stand up against lefty false narratives.
well, after the election i hope romney makes up for this by talking more about benghazi. win or lose, either way, someone needs to be out there informing the american people about this. we, conservative bloggers, are doing what we can but it’s not enough. fox news is doing what they can but it’s not enough. as a pres. candidate, romney obviously has a lot of attention focused on him that will last for a while even if he doesn’t win. he should use that attention as an opportunity to inform people about benghazi.

I still think Stevens knew to much about Heavy weapons being given to the rebels in Syria. It’s sad I can think such evil.

This is what I’ve been saying about the last couple of NYT columns. They served merely as a firebreak to stop Obama from getting burned.

Likewise, but I do not think there is a chance. Why? Two reasons.
1) First and foremost, this is the job of Congress to indite and convict a CinC, and
2) given the close split in this country, I don’t think any pol would prosecute after the fact, especially when Congress did not do its job.
There are massive numbers of ignorant people who vote one party because they “always have”, their family is all “that party”, because their union, school, etc. feeds them propaganda, and on and on, rather than spend a little time and effort doing their civic responsibility of learning about the candidates and actual issues. They know “Snookie” but nada about Bengazhi (Stevens who?), and so forth. If they actually knew facts, not propaganda, Zero never would have been nominated, much less elected the first time around.
IrishEyes on November 4, 2012 at 9:47 PM
I personally think it’s too late. MSM has buried the story long enough (and GOP pols have been disgustingly unsuccessful in spotlighting the story), so it’s not the game-changer for the election it should have been.
But if by any chance, Obama gets re-elected, then let the fight begin. He will not serve out his second term. Guaranteed.

This should not need the public – the military and our Congress people should be ALL OVER THIS!
This was an act of treason!

As soon as it became clear that the Benghazi story involved the CIA, it became much harder to pursue. People are willing to accept “secrecy” when CIA operations are involved, and you can’t demand transparency half the time while disallowing it the other half of the time.

When SCOAMF loses tomorrow (please G-d), his actions will reveal his culpability. Blanket pardons issued to himself and Hillary. Or just himself.

The unvarnished truth will take years to come out and by then these people will be free and clear.
What percentage of the voting population even knows there is a place called Benghazi?
CorporatePiggy on November 5, 2012 at 7:58 AM
And according to the CIA version of events, it took 3 hours and 15 minutes before the rescue force was finally able to leave the Benghazi airport. This long delay is caused by negotiations with Libyan authorities over permission to leave the airport, obtaining vehicles, and the need to frame a clear mission plan. Seriously? The U.S. needed to negotiate to be able to leave the airport… to go protect American citizens and do the job the Libyan government should have done?
