Obama campaign tries to explain his “revenge” comment
Obama campaign spokeswoman Jennifer Psaki, asked about the president saying Friday that “voting is the best revenge,” said the he was referring to revenge against GOP challenger Mitt Romney’s lies and scare tactics in recent ads.
Psaki said a recent ad falsely claiming that Jeep was moving operations overseas amounted to a “scare tactic,” “frightening workers in Ohio into thinking, falsely, that they’re not going to have a job.
“And the message [President Obama] was sending is if you don’t like the policies, if you don’t like the plan that Gov. Romney is putting forward, If you think that’s a bad deal for the middle class, then you can go to the voting booth and cast your ballot,” Psaki told reporters aboard Air Force One on Saturday. “It’s nothing more complicated than that.”

Of course, Obama knows all about “lies and scare tactics”.

The fact that the O campaign is bringing this up makes me wonder if they’re worried about something.

They’re explaining. Obama is losing.

It’s a free-floating and eternal resentment toward the “Other” that is foundation of most modern liberal thought.

Who’s making the assertion (without evidence) that the ad is “false”? Psaki or Politico? Never mind, fruits of the same poisoned Obama tree.

Messina tweet:
apparently the explanation is that Romney said it or something.

The whole fake post-partisan Lightbringer image has been crumbling, and this didn’t help.
The real Obama: nasty, petty, insecure and narcissistic popped out from behind the curtain.

Politico helping Dear Leader explain his bitterness right to the bitter end…
d1carter on November 3, 2012 at 1:37 PM
After the plethora of off-color remarks, fiction books, and Broadway musicals about killing Bush, it wouldn’t even surprise me if the Obama “revenge” remark was a tease for his new book, Kill Mitt, which is based loosely on the Kill Bill trilogy (and is ghost written by Bill Ayers).
Sounds more plausible than the Politico story at least.
Glenn Jericho on November 3, 2012 at 1:37 PM
If you’re explaining, you’re in trouble.

Twitter hilarity from the Obama campaign head, and the man behind “2016″:
Jim Messina @Messina2012
The Romney campaign’s message today is revenge, ours is the President’s plan for the middle class. I’ll take that contrast any day.

Ramesh Ponnuru @RameshPonnuru
@Messina2012 seems…misleading somehow. Trying to put my finger on it…….
Marcus on November 3, 2012 at 1:38 PM
Yep.
They didn’t expect Team Romney to put an ad out so quickly, and then hammer it. All day Sunday.
budfox on November 3, 2012 at 1:38 PM
The biggest problem I have with Obama is he keeps saying Middle Class but he’s looking at the Underclass when he says it.

In their defense they are not used to opponents who are actually trying to win.
joey24007 on November 3, 2012 at 1:41 PM
Are you going to Beleive your lying eyes, or Me?
The Romney message today is “Love of Country” yet the Obama Campaign insists that Romney is the one saying Revenge.
jaydee_007 on November 3, 2012 at 1:41 PM
So you vote to get back at what was said in some Romney ad. Got it.
Paul-Cincy on November 3, 2012 at 1:41 PM
Exactly. Ironically, for most of its history the DNCs “devil’s and demons” were minorities, especially blacks.

fyi – when you read the passage, it’s apparent Barry was referring to Congress and, subconsciously, 2010.
I don’t think we have truly understood how angered he was by the mid-terms. Shocked, yeah.
But the guy has apparently been resenting 2010 for two years now.
That would explain why he blew up the grand bargain, sequestration and willing to let Reid grind everything to a halt.
Now, so many people have either realized it was intentional, or are accepting the possibility, he’s turned into Mr. Bipartisan again.

Schadenfreude on November 3, 2012 at 1:44 PM
We all know what Obama means by “Revenge”. It’s a “dog whistle” to his mob like supporters to burn the country if Obama can’t have it, no one can.
wildcat72 on November 3, 2012 at 1:46 PM
You’d think English was Obama’s second language, he spends so much time having to explain the things he says.
Dusty on November 3, 2012 at 1:46 PM
If you think this “revenge” comment was bad, you should have seen Obama’s reaction to this recent Mazda commercial.

This is interesting re: voter fraud in Ohio or OIHO.
Fallon on November 3, 2012 at 1:49 PM
Which of course is why you needed to explain it.
SAZMD on November 3, 2012 at 1:49 PM
Obama wasn’t educated in an American school. Columbia and Harvard certainly don’t count as American.
wildcat72 on November 3, 2012 at 1:49 PM
The reason Obama talked about “revenge” is because it reflects the nasty tone of his “kill Romney” campaign. Everything with those Chicago thugs(and I’d argue most of the modern Democrat Party) is destroying the opposition. Even family members are no longer off-limits.
It wasn’t a slip-up. He actively dislikes Romney. And the Democrats have no respect for anyone left of Chavez. Thus they view these political campaigns in very personal terms.
Doughboy on November 3, 2012 at 1:55 PM
It’s just an expression, he hears it at home all the time from Michelle…”LIVING WELL is the best revenge.”

This is just more f the same from Obama.
Who can forget…
“Bring a gun to a knife fight”
“Get in their faces”
“Punish our enemies”
And other memorable nasty statements from this punk.
