Why Romney will win Ohio
I have not heard any compelling argument for Democratic turnout to match let along exceed 2008. Bush fatigue, Obama as the light bringer, the first black president, McCain’s bizarre suspension of his campaign — all of the momentum and excitement was on the side of the Democrats in 2008.
This year we have a still-stagnant economy, foreign policy in flames, deeply unpopular Obamacare, religious leaders furious at the president, Obama abandoning the center and no longer viewed as the political messiah he was thought to be, plus a Republican candidate who has plenty of money, a unified party, and a high-tech and engaged ground game.
Unmotivated Democrat voters no longer have “History” to pull them to the polls. And all of these polls showing Obama with a lead have Romney winning independents. The circumstances just don’t add up to a wave for the incumbent.

My view of Obama’s argument to Ohio is the same as the article, which is basically, “I got you the bailout, now you owe me.”
I don’t believe Ohioans will go to the polls believing they owe Obama anything. These people know that government can’t help cause the problems, then take credit for a rescue that shouldn’t have been needed in the first place. It’s a big miscalculation on the part of Dems in my opinion.
They don’t want to be in the position where they “owe” someone every 4 years.

Bill Oh Really is mad at both for not doing his show, and neither would win. LOL. He’s actually hoping for a humongous 2000 recount mess, so he can “I told you so!” when the only clear path to victory is through him.

I just watched his rally tonight in Ohio, it was AWESOME!!! He said instead of voting for revenge as Obama suggested he wants people to vote for love of country! The crowd went wild!!! Four More Days!!

I got an email from my rep., Geoff Davis, urging me to go to that rally. I figured if I went, I’d jinx it and didn’t. They didn’t need me anyway. This is an area just outside Hamilton county that’s overlooked, but it’s the part of Ohio that can win it for Romney.

Exactly.

Is how Romney could have presented himself to the state starting in the primaries. His 50′s aura would have blunted Bain. Never understood why they didn’t see that angle.

Make sure you get every possible vote out there that you can. It will be close.

Here in Texas (and in neighboring Arkansas) it’s illegal to marry a cousin. Not in New York. So is New York going for Romney?

The four SW counties of Ohio (Hamilton, Butler, Warren, and Clermont)–ignoring (frankly) blacks in Hamilton County and the academic communities surrounding Univ of Cincinnati and Miami University–should deliver a boatload of votes to Romney.

Looking at the latest Rasmussen splits. Obama is winning independents by a 50 to 41 split. Furthermore Obama is leading early voting by a 56 to 41 lead with 40% of Ohio likely voters already casting their ballots. Its over.
