Sources: Predator drone was over Benghazi consulate during last hours of attack

CBS News has been told that, hours after the attack began, an unmanned Predator drone was sent over the U.S. mission in Benghazi, and that the drone and other reconnaissance aircraft apparently observed the final hours of the protracted battle…

But it was too late to help the Americans in Benghazi. The ambassador and three others were dead.

Retired CIA officer Gary Berntsen believes help could have come much sooner. He commanded CIA counter-terrorism missions targeting Osama bin Laden and led the team that responded after bombings of the U.S. Embassy in East Africa.

“You find a way to make this happen,” Berntsen says. “There isn’t a plan for every single engagement. Sometimes you have to be able to make adjustments. They made zero adjustments in this. They stood and they watched and our people died.”

The PLAN was for Stevens to be kidnapped, not killed. The PLAN was for Jugears to swap the blind sheik for Stevens and thereby show how great Duh Won is.

That’s why they rushed Stevens to the hospital. They knew what the PLAN was and he was no good to them dead.

We shall see just how serious the GOP is about leveling with the people.

Now if you don’t like that one, I’ve got another. Jugears has Hillary send Stevens to Libya because Stevens knows something dirty on Jugears. When he threatens to tell what he knows, security magically gets pulled back AND the escape planes sent to Iraq.

Or how about this one: Stevens was on a covert mission to find out if weapons we gave to Libyan rebels were being shipped to Syria since we were telling Syrian rebels they were coming. The Syrian rebels complained that they weren’t getting there.

Stevens found evidence that the government was giving the arms to al-Qaida. He threatened to spill the beans and so he was left bare (so to speak) on 9/11 which was known to be the date scheduled for an attack.

Take your pick. Jugears is a manchurian candidate that didn’t need to be triggered.

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Martin Dempsey and Defense Secretary Leon Panetta “looked at available options, and the ones we exercised had our military forces arrive in less than 24 hours, well ahead of timelines laid out in established policies.”

WTF? 24 hours? This is 2012, not 1912. Anyone in the military want to comment on that?

Last hours? Too late by then for anything but destroying intell and revenge. Stevens was either consummating his marriage to the people he loved or dead along with the SEALs
