Big Bird makes over $330,000/yr to dress up in a bird costume and entertain children. Let’s face it, Big Bird is the 1%. PBS sold more Big Bird dolls than Hasbro sold GI Joes last year. Should we give Hasbro a subsidy too?? If we stop giving them tax money there is no way PBS would stop making money hand over fist on Big Bird. It’s time to stop the madness.
