Biden’s performance will end up hurting Obama
Neither Biden nor Ryan, but probably Mitt Romney. As one physician (and former political candidate himself) noted to our enthusiastic debate crowd, Biden mentioned Obama only in passing, scarcely touching on his achievements, his inspiring leadership, or any grand new plans (what new plans?) for the future. Instead, he emphasized his own dubious role in major events. Ryan, by contrast, repeatedly spoke of Romney, warmly praising his qualifications, his character, his vision and his five-point platform for recovery.
Yes, Biden performed as expected with his kitchen-sink assault on the GOP ticket, but the indispensable heavy-lifting remains for President Obama in the next two debates. In those exchanges, he must somehow make clear his new, uplifting goals for a new term and his fresh ideas for the road ahead, since only a minority of Americans would knowingly choose even an approximate replication of the polarization, poison and paralysis of the last four years.

Does it matter Medved? Obama is going to lose regardless of these debates.

All last night and today I kept thinking of The Ides of March‘s Philip Seymour Hoffman’s weary, monotone assessment of the just-departed smarmy opposing campaign manager: “what a pr*ck”
As “unimportant” as VP debates are supposed to be, I think we couldn’t have asked for a better Act II this week of “Lessee, do I vote for the cool, snarky jackasses or the boring, competent nice guys?”

End up? It already has.
Obama is down nearly 5 points on InTrade since the conclusion of the debate.
Clear win by Ryan, also confirmed by polls from both CNN & AP (you know, those bastions of conservatism /s); showing Ryan as the winner.

I’ve resigned myself that he’s going to win. Doesn’t matter what happens.

You say that in jest, but it’s actually true.

You mean like Florida, Colorado, and Virginia all falling into the Romney column? Like those things happening?
Marcus on October 12, 2012 at 11:38 PM
Medved is the RINO-IN-GOLD.
If he’s all in for Romney that is a cause for concern.

It is something that Romney and Ryan do not hammer enough – Obama has no specific plans or ideas for the next four years.
Yet, Romney and Ryan are on the defensive about giving details for their plans – what are Obama’s plans?

FWIW I posted the pic of Biden as Joker and Ryan as Robin on my FB page. It was a liberal, lesbian friend that shared it on her FB page and got comments about what a disgrace and embarrassment Biden was.
