“I just would say one word to the Biden people: Women”
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) is urging Vice President Biden to focus on women in Thursday’s night’s upcoming debate with Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.), the GOP’s vice-presidential hopeful.
“I just would say one word to the Biden people: Women,” Pelosi said in a Tuesday night interview on Current TV. “Whether you are talking about women’s health care, whether you are talking about Medicare, whether you are talking about . . . equal pay, ending discrimination in the workplace, the rest of it.”

How about women’s unemployment rate? Yes, let’s have that discussion.

Sheesh, enough already! They act like American women are beeing forced to wear burkas. Women are like everyone else — they need jobs and cheap fuel for their cars and to heat their homes. The donks have just killed job growth and have sent the cost of necessities skyrocketing.

Women, Big Bird, and 47%.
Oil Can on October 10, 2012 at 12:15 PM
Duh. That was a given. Biden has always fancied himself as a champion of women’s rights. And with a feminist moderator it’s almost guaranteed to be a debate about the feminist view of women’s rights.
rockmom on October 10, 2012 at 12:16 PM
Women’s health care in the United States is on par with men’s health care. Because abortion and contraception are not health care.
Last I checked, Medicare applied equally to men and women. In other words, it’s a broken and unsustainable system for both.
Equal pay and lack of discrimination in the workplace are already the norm once you look at the truth and not the spin.
Anything else we need to talk about?
Shump on October 10, 2012 at 12:17 PM
Paul Ryan is waaaaay more appealing to women. In more ways than one.
patriette on October 10, 2012 at 12:18 PM
Put it in lingo that Biden can understand at least…
Seven letters: Women.
MobileVideoEngineer on October 10, 2012 at 12:18 PM
…and Ryan can talk about the unemployment rate among women, the poverty rate among women, and how many more women are on food stamps now.
Good Plan, Nancy.
changer1701 on October 10, 2012 at 12:18 PM
And I would just say two words: “plastic surgery”, or maybe five if I was talking to Nancy: “Let me see you blink”.

Disparity of income in the workplace? Start with the Obungler WH, Nancy.
I would like to thank the knot heads of San Francisco for making us endure this idiot, year after bloody year.

Ugh, I’m afraid she’s right in that independent/moderate women are in play (so to speak).
If the polls are accurate and both candidates have roughly 47% of the vote, that 6% will determine the race. And a good chunk of that is those dopey moderate women voters who are easily swayed by such issues.
They fall for liberal demagoguery so Ryan needs to be sharp.

Liberals worship three gods: Race. Gender. Class.
Pick one of them! Pick one of them!

Yeah, let’s talk about the pay disparity among Obozo’s staff. I actually agree with Air Pelosi for once.

To paraphrase Jay Nordlinger:
The Democrats are always talking about fairness and compassion. But there’s nothing fair or compassionate about economic collapse. It’s brutal — especially for the
poorwomen. And the Democrats will do nothing, absolutely nothing, about economic collapse.LilyBart on October 10, 2012 at 12:24 PM
It looks like the democrats are believing their own lies. It gets dangerous when you start believing the lies you’ve been telling about your opponent. That’s why Obama didn’t bring up the things the base wanted him to, he knew they were lies and you can’t bring those up with the opponent you’ve been lying about when he’s right there to rebut them. It would have made Obama look worse than he already did.

Three letter word: Women’s Jobs.
LtGenRob on October 10, 2012 at 12:26 PM
Women care about their kids’ futures and opportunities.
Women care about whether they or their husbands (or sisters or brothers) can get and keep a good paying job.
Women care about getting actual healthcare (not just a promise of healthcare from people who have a habit of over promising)
Women care about the cost of energy and food.
Women care about a lot of things.

I’ll vote for Biden if he works in the words “The Va-Joe-Joe Monologues”
Ronnie on October 10, 2012 at 12:34 PM
Dems are going all out on the “Womyn’s” issues in VA. I saw a commercial last night with a desperate sounding female “victim” who drones on about how the eeeevviiiillll Republicans will take away womyn’s “rights” to kill babies and get *free* contraception. Unfortunately, it’s reaching some people or they wouldn’t play the ad.
I say “bring it!” to gaffe prone Biden. Ryan should be ready for the barrage of craziness.
conservative pilgrim on October 10, 2012 at 12:34 PM
Oh please, oh please, oh please, bring up women as a discussion point.
Female veterans for example: this month, the rate is 19.9%.
Talk it up, Joe!

Mr. McGuire: I just want to say one word to you. Just one word.
Benjamin: Yes, sir.
Mr. McGuire: Are you listening?
Benjamin: Yes, I am.
Mr. McGuire: Plastics.
In the case of Ms. Pelosi, a plastic woman.
