More Republicans than Democrats requesting absentee ballots in four swing states
As of Saturday, Republicans had requested 656,813 absentee ballots in Colorado, compared to Democrats’ 627,064, according to records from the Secretary of State. In North Carolina, more than 52% of all ballot requests have come from Republicans, whereas Democrats account for only 27% of requests and unaffiliated voters, 21%.
In Florida, 43.4% of absentee ballot requests came from Republicans, 39% from Democrats. Republicans have an even larger advantage in returned absentee ballots: 45.5% to 38%.
In Nevada, absentee ballot requests favor Republicans 43.9% to 39.2%, with some smaller GOP-leaning counties not reporting. We expect our advantage in Nevada therefore to be even larger.

Do I smell landslide?

I can not EVER remember being this excited to vote.
I served in the military because I wanted the chance to protect my country, but I never dreamed that a voting booth would provide me the first opportunity to actually SAVE it.

No. You smell tie race. Which makes it time to head to GOP HQ and make some phone calls…

This, imo, is more significant than the polling. It shows the ground game is much improved over ’08 and that GOPers are very engaged.

Yep. Get the right people to the polling booths, too.

You’ve got that right. This is the stuff I’m watching, along with what the polling data is for Independents.

It’s not hilarious, it’s downright scary.

See, those numbers from those states add up. Colorado has slightly more Republicans than Democrats so that number should add up. What really surprises me is Iowa. Iowa’s electorate is about 50/50 R/D. But if you look at the absentee balloting, it is way off:
As of 10/8 number if absentee ballots requested:
D 168,602
R 94,734
0 72,694
Why the disparity in Dem absentee ballots in Iowa?

Yeah, but once the Dems figure out how many votes they need to win, we’ll be shocked to discover that 127% of Democrat absentee ballots have been returned.

I mailed my ballot in over the weekend, MI voter here.
