Actress Stacey Dash on Romney: I chose him based on the content of his character
STACEY DASH: I just feel that as a country, this is my choice. This is the man I want to lead my country. It is my right as an American citizen. It’s my Constitutional right to have my choice of who I want to vote for for President. And I chose him not by the color of his skin but the content of his character.
PIERS MORGAN, HOST: Have you heard from Mitt Romney at all?
DASH: Yes, well not Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan.
MORGAN: Paul Ryan rang you today?
DASH: Yes, he did.
MORGAN: What did he say?
DASH: He said, “Thank you so much for your support,” and that I was brave, and they support me, and I thought that was so generous and kind. You know? Lovely. Really

Some witchcraft in play there. Always thought she was hawt.
Fun fact….she’s 10 years older than her “Clueless” co-star standing next to her in that photo. She played a high school student in that movie, and is 3 years older than the guy playing Cher’s “older” step brother who is in college, lol.

Woah! She has a 22 year old son but he’s voting for Obama

Love this woman Stacey Dash. She is an independent thinker with guts. We support you, Stacey Dash!

In Obama’s defense(and I rarely use that phrase), I seriously doubt Moochelle would allow him to phone this lady given her rumored propensity for jealousy.
Doughboy on October 10, 2012 at 3:41 AM
Well, Cher, you’re welcome not to–no one is forcing you.
DrMagnolias on October 10, 2012 at 5:10 AM
Sadly, the people that NEED to listen to Ms. Dash will have no idea whatsoever of who she is quoting, why she quoted him and what it means.
The concept she just put forth is totally wasted upon them.
And the Democrats will do NOTHING to change that.

There is something about these two sentences. They imply that she is having to fight against society to make this statement, to take back a right that was denied her.

you go girl!!!
cmsinaz on October 10, 2012 at 7:01 AM
Yeah, she’s basically saying she has the right to make up her own mind. She’s fighting back against the sadly pervasive idea that she, as a member of whatever group, must vote in a particular way. Sad that she even has to vocally assert her individuality in this way, but good for her for doing so! She seems like a strong, classy person who knows that who she is isn’t defined by merely by her race.

Always thought she was smokin’ hot! Now this gives me yet another reason to like her.
DethMetalCookieMonst on October 10, 2012 at 7:21 AM
She’s part of the 0% of blacks who vote for Romney. She’s to the right of the decimal point.

Another actor had a chance to be a popular and reasoned conservative. Robert Downey Jr. after his stay in prison and rehad stated it was a Conservative mindset he had to develope to get his life around. I’m sure he thought the obama wave was riding high though and he wanted that Hollywood in though to make his life complete.
Imagine if he had stuck to his guns.

Has it been established that Ms. Dash is a conservative, though? I hadn’t picked up on that. It was my impression that she had said she had voted for Obama before, but sort of “came to her senses” when she saw what life in the U.S. was like under his administration. That, to me, is the real story here—and it’s far more compelling if, in fact, she was/is a liberal who’s far too reality-aware to vote for Obama again, knowing what’s undoubtedly in store. I don’t care what Ms. Dash’s political affiliations were or are, I care that she is sufficiently sensible and in tune with the real world to have seen that she made a bad choice the first time and now wishes to correct it. The battle here isn’t about black versus white, or even Democrat/liberal versus Republican/conservative. It’s about fantasy versus fact. The people who are criticizing Ms. Dash want her to live a lie, and worse what’s been proven as a lie (rather than merely “suspected” by many people in 2008), and she’s rebelling against that notion. As much as I admire the courage of anyone in the entertainment business (which I also work in, if sort of on the fringes) to stand up as a Romney supporter, what matters here isn’t who Ms. Dash is voting for, what party she belongs to, or what color her skin is. It’s that she’s not stupid!

The left (who say the right HATE s3x and are so judgemental about it) to bash her for posing in Playboy in 5..4..3..2..
DethMetalCookieMonst on October 10, 2012 at 7:47 AM
Wow. I don’t even know whom she is, but she seems to have some character.
MeatHeadinCA on October 10, 2012 at 8:03 AM
This should be a non-story. But the fact that it is a big deal is sad. A dismal reflection of our society. MLK’s dream has been forsaken courtesy of the Progressive ideology.
The Progressive ideology preaches the exact opposite of judging a person by the content of their character.

Yeah, I’m thinking Reggie would be the bigger problem.
FineasFinn on October 10, 2012 at 8:24 AM
He’s not very vocal about it, but did you see the Avengers, I believe it was, where he made a small dig at government intervention into private business to his assistant, Paltrow’s character? I thought it was very revealing of his leanings.
He’s just being quiet & cautious.
Which is how I act at work myself, public screwl.
Badger40 on October 10, 2012 at 8:43 AM
Oh my gosh! Can you imagine? I want to hear him say it just one time. Maybe at the VP debates as the wind inexplicitly tears his suit coat and shirt away. What would Biden do? Probably just quit and leave. I can just see Axelrod pounding his fist in the air, “damn you Ryan!!!” as the theme from The good, the bad, and the ugly plays. October surprise!
magicbeans on October 10, 2012 at 9:19 AM
He plays the Iron Man again in that movie, right?
I think I remember that the two Iron Man movies had subtle conservative themes, as well.

I’d never heard of her before–not up on all my pop culture, clearly–but she’s beautiful and obviously smart.
Bob's Kid on October 10, 2012 at 10:00 AM
That’ll leave a mark. Good for her, for standing her ground.
AndStatistics on October 10, 2012 at 10:13 AM
Excellent, she can put on 100lbs and play Mooch in the bio-movie D’Souza will make about little Bammie’s presidency.
