Top Nevada paper endorses Romney
If we are to avoid a lost decade and a future calamity created by inaction on entitlements and government growth, this nation needs a team of turnaround experts. Mr. Romney has promised to create a Cabinet of private-sector leaders focused on strengthening the country’s business climate and making it more competitive. He and his running mate, Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan, have dared to put forward ideas to preserve Medicare for current beneficiaries and reform it for future recipients, and they vow to work with Congress to prevent the program’s collapse.

The Romney campaign is bussing volunteers to walk the precincts in Las Vegas and Reno each weekend until Election Day. We had 52 volunteers in Reno this past weekend. Any Northern Californians here who will join my on October 27-28?

Dingy Harry’s and Lousiana Purchase’s puppetmaster (Harrahs) isn’t going to like this.

This was surprisingly not one of Mika’s “Must Reads”, you know, the segment Schmoe gave her so she’s just not a set of…….

well written… but I think they endorsed McCain in 2008…
(just noting)

This would be nicer if the paper had any credibility left in Nevada.
They endorsed Angle over Reid in ’10, and just about everyone knew it was because the editor was having a snit-fit over Reid. The endorsement didn’t move the needle, and the paper’s basically been smeared as a right-wing rag.

This is a conservative leaning newspaper! Who do you expecting they will endorse, the Democratic candidate?!
In 2008 they endorsed McCain, how did that work out for the McCain campaign in Nevada?! They lost Nevada by 13 points!

Good point, but Romney is not McCain as we can all see. If people *see* someone fighting, they’ll vote for him. McCain, not so much.
SouthernGent on October 8, 2012 at 12:37 PM
Romney’s no Sharron Angle, though. I don’t think newspaper endorsements move the needle much at all, but if it gives some indies pause then it’s all for the better.

Too bad Dingy Harry is not up for election this year. Coattails.

..I’m in SoCal but will look around to see if they do the same here. If nothing else, the bus ride up there and back with like-minded MOTIVATED campaigners would be a blast!
Any links on how to hitch a ride from SoCal, anyone, Beuller, Beuller?

What’s a newspaper?

They endorsed McCain in 2008, not Obama. I am waiting for a major paper that endorsed Obama in 2008 to come out for Romney. NY Post will probably be one of those.
