Panetta to Karzai: Try thanking American soldiers sometime for protecting you
Panetta was responding to Karzai’s complaints Thursday that the U.S. is failing to go after militants based in Pakistan, and instead is concentrating on the insurgents in Afghanistan.
“We have made progress in Afghanistan because there are men and women in uniform who have been willing to fight and die for Afghanistan’s sovereignty,” Panetta snapped, as he spoke with reporters traveling with him to South America. “Those lives were lost fighting the right enemy not the wrong enemy and I think it would be helpful if the president, every once in a while, expressed his thanks for the sacrifices that have been made by those who have fought and died for Afghanistan, rather than criticizing them.”

It’s obscene that ANY American should have to fight and/or die for Afghanistans’ sovereignty…or for that POS Karzai’s protection…

Panetta, the dummy, and believe me he is one, is the only man in the Obama admin who has some semblance of decency left.

The Chinese and the Indians are moving into Afghanistan, filling the vacuum Obama is leaving, on purpose. They have done nothing, just watched how the US has spent blood and treasure. Obama is on ox, detrimental to the US, all the way.

Hear Hear Mr. Panetta. Damned ingrates.

I think Karzai is a snotty, corrupt, evil little despot, but he`s sort of right. The enemy is based in Pakistan. We should be mopping them up there and going home. To hell with our “alliance” with the Paks.

The only reason that Karzai’s head is still attached to his shoulders is the presence of NATO troops who are fighting and dying (including at the hands of Karzai”s troops). Yes…he should say prayers every day that they stay.

When I heard this quote by Panetta this morning on the news I couldn’t tell if it was Obama he was chastising or Karzai.
Neither have had much appreciation for American soldiers…

What a sick joke Panette makes. If Karzai ever does say this thank you, it won’t be sincere.

Eunuch in Chief, resetting the button with Russia, not even waiting until after the election, the swine.
p.s. sincere apologies to the good clean pigs.

Karzai is a corrupt swine.
He also has a valid point.
Pakistan is a metastasizing cancer of Islamism.

Karzai may well and the last thing I would do is excuse him from doing so because I think he damn well should but we probably don’t have a complete handle on why he hasn’t, in his mind he thinks we owe him protection because we took over Afghanistan and in doing so he thinks we owe everyone their protection.
But we can’t meddle, or change the culture, female mutilation is their choice. No matter how disgusting it is.

AMERICA to obama: Try thanking American soldiers sometime for protecting your lazy commie azz.

It would not honestly occur to a Muslim that he should thank a filthy unbeliever for anything in any situation. Now that he has been pressed, Karzai will think of the money and mumble some approbation.

Panetta to Karzai: Try thanking American soldiers sometime for protecting you
There’s no reason for Panetta to get so testy, we were assured that with an Obama administration the whole world would love America and even the ocean levels would recede… Don’t tell me that’s not true!
