National Geographic: We’re not airing that Bin Laden movie to help Obama
“Harvey obviously doesn’t schedule our network,” Owens said, referring to The Weinstein Co. Co-chairman Harvey Weinstein, whose company is producing “Seal Team Six: The Raid on Osama bin Laden,” a thriller based on President Barack Obama’s decision to kill al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden. “[We're] not political. We are opportunistic, from a programming perspective.”
Instead, Owens said National Geographic wanted to release “Seal Team Six” ahead of “Zero Dark Thirty,” a competing film account of the killing of bin Laden from acclaimed “Hurt Locker” director Kathryn Bigelow and screenwriter Mark Boal, which is scheduled for release in mid-December…
Lyle made it clear that the film will emphasize the risks the president’s action entailed, even as the network clarified that the film will not be entirely accurate.

The other film that they say they are competing against, doesn’t air until mid December. Therefore, they could show it after the election. Also, aren’t they worried about pi$$ing off the savages? Applying the democrats and leftards interpretation of the First Amendment, the government should stop them from airing the flix — for public safety.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me 10k times decade after decade, shame on me.
The few people who watch this will not decide the election and it may end up ticking off and motivating many more people in protest than will actually tune in to see it.
But unless/until NatGeo (i’m a fan) reschedules this a week after the election, no one should believe or take at face value the network’s claim that the timing of this show is not specifically designed to help Obama.
Regardless of what NatG execs say and regardless of its bipratisan ownership group, It looks to me as if Obama $$$ bundler Harvey had in mind to make this show and have it broadcast before the election not after.
Moving the broadcast back two or three weeks to reassure half the country that youre not in the tank for one party or another is not an earth-shaking task.

I hope they have the scene where the guy playing Obama runs into the situation room in a panic and pleads with the SEALs to take OBL alive so the mass murderer could be extradited to NYC for a fair trial, followed by an abrupt cut to SEAL point man pumping lead into OBL’s head, then Owens following up with a few more into the chest of the twitching body, saying, “No trial for you, motherf*cker.”
