Obama plagiarized his own debate promises from 2008
2012: I also want to close those loopholes that are giving incentives for companies that are shipping jobs overseas. I want to provide tax breaks for companies that are investing here in the United States.
2008: Let’s just be clear. What I do is I close corporate loopholes, stop providing tax cuts to corporations that are shipping jobs overseas so that we’re giving tax breaks to companies that are investing here in the United States. …

2012: Now, I’ve identified areas where we can, right away, make a change that I believe would actually help the economy. The — the oil industry gets $4 billion a year in corporate welfare. Basically, they get deductions that those small businesses that Governor Romney refers to, they don’t get. Now, does anybody think that ExxonMobil needs some extra money when they’re making money every time you go to the pump? Why wouldn’t we want to eliminate that?
2008: And if we want to talk about oil company profits, under your tax plan, John — this is undeniable — oil companies would get an additional $4 billion in tax breaks. Now, look, we all would love to lower taxes on everybody. But here’s the problem: If we are giving them to oil companies, then that means that there are those who are not going to be getting them.

After four years he’s talking about doing the same things. Which, obviously, means he DID NOT do them ?
Gov, Sununu was correct to say Obama is lazy.
Jabberwock on October 5, 2012 at 7:56 AM
I don’t know how anyone could doubt he is lazy. What about all the speech writers and sycophants he has around? They must be really lazy too.

Nothing against Reason for pointing this out, but it’s not exactly new information, is it? I seem to recall another video from a few months back that showed two separate Obama speeches, one in (I think) 2009 and one in 2012 where he basically recited the same litany of empty promises. But this is SOP for Democrats: Complain about something; do nothing to fix it when you have the power to do so, or make no attempt to compromise and fix it when the Republicans have the power; and then complain about it again later, this time blaming the Republicans for your not having done anything. Rush Limbaugh has also documented this numerous times over the years. This is basically the only thing they know how to do. No one should be surprised by this.

This is just Democrat boilerplate and they’ll keep using it until the suckers stop falling for it.

Yesterday, Kevin Williamson had two posts at National Review Online’s The Corner that took down Obama on the “loopholes for corporations that ship jobs overseas” nonsense.
“Loopholes” connotes some special tax break available to a particular group or industry. In this case, there’s no such “tax break.” Businesses are allowed to deduct the cost of moving operations–whether from California to Texas or California to Singapore–as an ordinary and necessary business expense under Section 162 of the Internal Revenue Code. Williamson explained that that clown senator from MI, Debbie Stabenow, has a bill currently before Congress that would act as a punitive measure by singling out companies that transfer operations overseas by denying them a deduction for expenses related to such transfers. His example was that a company could deduct the cost of postage to its American-based lawyer, but it couldn’t deduct the cost of postage to its American-based international-transfer consultant.
This is idiotic legislation, and Williamson noted that the legislation’s expected revenue is all of $14 million a year.
Obama is a moron.

With regard to the oil and gas industry, there are two points to be made.
From what I understand, that industry is taking advantage of particular tax code provisions that are generally available to all businesses. It’s absurd that Obama would single out some of America’s most profitable–and highest tax-paying–companies for punitive measures.
In addition, Romney had a nice one-two combination taking down Obama on this point. He noted that the “tax breaks” in large measure are used by smaller operators–as opposed to the behemoths of the industry. And to see Romney compare the $2 billion are year in tax breaks to oil and gas companies to the $90 billion going to the green-energy industry for loser investments, half of which are going to Obama’s contributors was priceless. I loved Mitt’s line about a friend of his telling Mitt that Obama doesn’t pick winners and losers, he picks only losers. Seriously, it was better than watching Ralphie beat the snot out of that bully Scott Farkus in A Christmas Story.

They would much rather have the problem than the solution. More votes, you see. Why do you think they claimed to want to “drain the swamp” and did nothing to actually do so?

Which is just about what she’s spending on her re-election campaign. Umm, that’s deductable too, right ?

My kids have toys like this. You know, like that Woody doll on Toy Story where you pull the string and it talks — except it only has about 6 canned phrases that repeat. Pull the string enough times, and you get sick of here the same stupid phrase over and over. (“There’s a snake in my book!”)
Soros pulls the string, and one of Obama’s 6 canned phrases comes out of his mouth.

Explanation: Barry was panicking and grabbed the first thought that came to his mind—-parts of speeches he had given many, many, many times and memorized.
This is why a lot of Obama’s debate seemed incoherent and mixed-up; he was just grabbing at anything that came to mind so that there was no dead time while it was his turn.

Like I said debate night: he was a robot preprogrammed with his 2008 campaign slogans.

Illegal aliens get more a year in fraudulent tax return welfare than the entire oil industry gets in subsidies.
