Some of the comments at the link are a bit too much. There are some Democrats — no kidding — who think Barry’s trip to the woodshed before 60 million people was… all part of an elaborate and grand rope-a-dope strategy:

I wonder if this is a case of, “Come into my lair, said the spider to the fly.”

I think so. There’s just too much politeness going on from Obama’s side. It’s a Rope-a-Dope over multiple sessions, methinks.
The DNC is out with a new video with highlights from last night’s debate in an attempt to portray Mitt Romney as an overly aggressive bully.
Bully? Romney was pretty damn nice to Obama all things considered. He simply engaged him on substantive issues which is something Obama’s never had to deal with since 2007(except for maybe a few encounters with Hillary).
But … I heard a report that Obama actually spoke for several minutes longer than Romney. Is that so? Then if someone bullied the moderator, wouldn’t that be Obama?
Typical Democrats. Somebody else’s fault. And that I can live with.
Gore on the other hand, good Lord. Talk about grasping at thin air.
You’d think Obama had never been there. Ha !
They actually used Lip Gloss Brooks as the purveyor of conservative thought, as if everyone is going to think that if Brooks said it, well then it must be true.

Romney was more respectful than ANYONE here at HotGas would have been to Obama. Certainly myself included. I was amazed at Romney’s restraint. Obama’s got all these plans, and talking about working across the aisle, and his last 4 years has shown it’s all been a big lie!
This is Not. Rope-a-dope. One of the major reasons the Regime has been pushing so hard on the pollsters to put the thumb on the scales has been to stave off a preference cascade. Throwing the first debate, to be followed by the Biden-Ryan baby seal clubbing next week would be too likely to get a preference cascade rolling, making a good showing by 0bama in the next debate irrelevant.
I’m waiting for a Dem operative to get up and say, “Last night was a presidential debate. The last thing President Obama expected was to have to debate!”
Dems need to face it. Last night was Clay-Liston without the post-fight theatrics. Obama wanted nothing to do with Romney very early on and throughout.

Yup. The debates are the only place where it’s hard for media to protect Obama. Deadly tactical mistake for them not to prepare him for it.
If little Bammie can’t handle Governor Romney, is there any wonder that the Muslim Brotherhood is eating his lunch? It’s a very tough world we live in, and Governor Romney is one of the nicest people that a president has to deal with.
This is a serious question. Aren’t most airliners (including AF1) pressurized at lower than normal atmosphere while flying at high altitude? So, wouldn’t anyone already be acclimated after a long plane ride?

Playing rope a dope with the first debate which was the one people are most likely to see…ummmmm don’t think that would be in anyone’s clever political plan.
And I predicted this over at PJ Media last night. The Democrat spin will be that Romney was a big meanie to Obambi. Pathetic is right.
Blowback

OMG…that’s it, Rombo having a little back and forth with Lehrer?

They tried selling this on Chris Matthews show last night, even he wasn’t buying it.

Obama did the same things and it was even harder for Leherer to interrupt him (because Presidents are God, or something).
It’s pretty silly this is the best they could come up with from tonight: A video of Romney demanding fair time for responses.

Al Gore could be right. When all you have for a defense is hot air it may be affected by altitude and air pressure.

What is really funny is that there is only one way for Obama to go after last night’s performance, so they will be convinced they were right.

Maybe he just needed the Greek columns…and no Mitt Romney standing next to him.

Another myth that was shattered last night: likeability. Mitt came across as the more approachable of the two. Barry seemed like an angry douchebag.

Time for Obama to make an apologetic speech to calm him down. A concession speech will do nicely.
